Excellent property
Lovely staff Maria and team, beautiful place!
Would come back again. They went the extra mile at every corner.
Nothing at all
A fantastic hotel for a romantic holiday!
Cozy, spotless rooms and wonderful surprises at arrival - champagne and treats. The staff is top-notch. Massive thanks to the attentive waitstaff and huge respect to the kitchen team!
This has to be on of the best places we have ever stayed. From the minute we walked through the door we felt welcome ( who doesn't love an arrival chocolate).
The staff are so helpful and friendly and really seem to enjoy their work. Our room was lovely, lots of nice personal touches. The food was delicious, good variety and a different theme every night. The pool area was clean (although pool was very cold) with plenty of very comfortable sunbeds. George, the boss, mans the omelettes/poached eggs at breakfast and was always very attentive and keen to make sure you gave everything you need. The war in Iran had just kicked off before we travelled which had resulted in a lot of cancellations, the tourist trade was really suffering. George made a point of going around every table at dinner one evening to thank everyone for coming, this hotel really matters to him. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Beautiful hotel with modern, clean accommodation. Don’t be put off by the conflict in the region. There’s no sign of it here in Paphos as life carries on as normal. The food is fresh and excellent. With themed nights and a wide choice of buffet.
We were entertained most nights its singers and guitarists.
The spa, pools and gym are very good. The heated thermal pool is small but big enough to swim a width and has powerful jets.
We will return
The warm welcome from Maria on the Reception desk started our amazing week at The King Jason. We were there to celebrate our daughter’s big birthday & the champagne & chocolates in our suites made it very special indeed. The suites were fantastic and the ambience at the hotel, just perfect. The food was delicious as were the choice of wines & cocktails. After our mornings visiting the breathtaking archaeological sites we looked forward to our afternoons by the pool on the most comfortable subbed we’ve ever experienced. A wonderful hotel- we can’t wait to make a return visit.
Absolutely delighted with my choice of hotel for our trip to Paphos-what an amazing hotel! Our executive suite was top of the top of modern design,so comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was great, everywhere very clean, but the real gem of the hotel is the staff-from the front office, waiters to the housekeepers, gardeners and cleaners-all of them working with smile and are ready to please the guests
Can't praise the hotel enough! The food was amazing every single day with a great choice of mains, salad, veg and the dessert selection was out of this world. The staff were brilliant and very attentive everywhere whether you were in the restaurant, pool or reception. We hired bikes for a few days which Anna helped organise and nothing seemed too much trouble. The rooms were a great size and the location is great with a 15 min walk down to the beach or similar to the shopping mall. Excellent value for a great hotel and service. Would definitely recommend!
We've been at the hotel for 2 days now and we're really impressed. For me it holds it's own against 5* plus hotels we've stayed at where it matters ... staff, food and drinks.
There's one 'a la carte ' restaurant but that doesn't open until June. The buffet restaurant I can't fault so far. Plates are hot and that's a first for any hotel we've stayed at. It's a small hotel but despite this there's a really good selection at the buffet.
Highlights so far are lovely omelettes made to order, a good range of desserts, pork belly, pork, beef, soup, bang bang chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fish goujons, spaghetti carbonara, pizza, chips and fish. There's also a very good selection of non meat dishes for pescatarians and vegetarians and I think vegans.
There's a small air conditioned gym underground so no natural light but a good range of equipment.
Drinks are excellent, Lama red Chilean Merlot which is like French beaujolais, Gordon's Pink gin, baileys drink, lovely cocktails ... Pina Colada, Mojito, Strawberry Daiquiri and good lagers.
Plenty of clean sunbeds with comfortable thick cushions/headrests. Nice pools (the waters cold in April !). Waiters serving drinks around the pool. Plenty of bottled water available and decent coffees all day.
Our room is spacious and clean and has good products. So all in all I'd recommend this hotel and there are some really competative prices available at the moment.
#mykingjason
We have just had a lovely week at the king Jason the staff are all lovely and very helpful as my wife is blind and also has walking problems the staff always help if they thought she was struggling the food is excellent and plenty of choice and to a high standard the hotel is spotlessly clean and rooms tidied up every day we asked for a ground floor room with easy access which we got with a walk in shower and ramp into the room (no steps) this was great for us the one thing we did not find until the last morning is there is a disabled toilet inn the bar area but no sign just go to the reception desk and ask for the key if we would of known it would of saved walk back to the room if your looking for a quiet adult get away you will not go far wrong with the king Jason our only complaint I have and it's a VERY MINOR MOAN is the towels that are provided by the hotel are awful but please don't let that put you off over all I would give it 5 stars
Our stay here was excellent, made exemplar by the attentive service we received. One morning we did not even have to order coffee, but our usual order was already on the table before we sat down for breakfast!!
Clean rooms, good pool service, delicious buffet food, yummy cocktails, and a surprise birthday cake delivered to the table on our last evening.
Fabulous and friendly spa services.
Extremely safe despite scaremongering news.
Thank you to all the kind staff. I feel very sad to leave the King Jason behind!
The food was some of the very best we have had. Drinks really great, all branded and wine excellent. Room very modern and extremely clean. Pool’s glorious and the lounger lush. Weather amazing. All staff that work at the hotel go over and beyond to make it special for all visitors.
Now we don’t have any social media or particularly read the news due to the fact it is usually untrue or misleading. This is a great example of why………Cyprus is a wonderful place with wonderful people. It is safer than walking around most places in England at anytime of the day. THERE IS NOTHING DANGEROUS ABOUT IT. I cannot recommend visiting this hotel or Cyprus more.
Check-in was very fast and friendly, given a small chocolate and glass of fizz.
A quick check of the passports and a registration form submitted and our cases and ourselves were shown to our room.
Just in case you didn't know, Cyprus drive on the left and use English 3 plug sockets, so no need to bring adapters.
The King Jason comprises several buildings and I believe different styles of rooms. We found this out by talking to other guests. Our room was OK but nothing to shout about. It looked like a one room apartment rather than a hotel room. For instance others had a couch, we never did. We had a mini kitchen with two hobs and a microwave. Considering this was an All Inclusive holiday, it did seem a bit weird. The tv was small and attached to the wall next to the wardrobe, because of this we couldn't see the tv when laying down in bed.
The room is cleaned daily along with the replacement of towels. There is an iron and a hairdryer in the room, a safe and fridge. The room had sockets everywhere and even more light switches.
In my opinion the room we were in needs upgrading with some cosmetic changes. Even though this wasn't the best room we ever stayed in, it didn't impact the enjoyment of our stay, and many other couples were more than happy with their rooms.
The whole place is kept to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness, there wasn't any spot of litter or unkept places anywhere.
As this was late March, and due to the issues in Iran etc, the hotel was not even half full, so a lot of the facilities were understandably closed. There are three outdoor pools that were all open but the bars etc associated with them were shut.
Waiters though were on constant patrol around the pools bringing your drinks.
The sun beds around the pool were the most comfortable we've ever had. It was more like laying on a mattress than a sun bed. The umbrellas are placed into the ground, so you have to move the bed and not the umbrella if you get caught in the shade. Not a bad thing in my book as every pair of beds had a brolly.
Two tips for the pool, grab a bed at the end of the pool closest to the restaurant. Also in the Deck Bar at the other end, there is a fridge that is constantly stocked with water that you can help yourself with.
Pool Towels are provided by the hotel and are placed in your room on arrival.
The Hydro Pool around the corner looks like it's not working, but it does. There are switches on the floor around the pool that you press for bubbles etc. They are on a timer.
There is a free minibus that runs 5 times a day and 6 days a week that takes you to the beach, the harbour and the Shopping Mall. It will also bring you back from those places. For the more adventurous the beach and Shopping Mall are about 10 minutes walk and the harbour about 15 minute walk. The immediate location around the hotel is pretty barren of shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a chemist though a few minutes walk away.
The entertainment of the night was very hit and miss. The guests at our time there were in general late 60’s onwards and it was probably tailored around them. During our 7 nights we had 3 nights when there was nothing. The other 4, there was a guitarist, two female singers and a male singer. The guitarist was good, the female singers got a good response, but the male singer cleared the room. We all joked that the hotel cats went missing for the night after he started singing.
Alcohol was all branded shorts which was great, with the Lager a local brand or Estrella, and they served pints. The wine was excellent, they even left the bottle if it was less than half full.
The food was the best we've ever had in all our travels. Everyone mentioned how delicious it was. Breakfast, lunch and evening meal, every day was a masterpiece and every evening the menu changed. We had a Cyprus night, Asian night, Mexican night, Gourmet night plus other nights. The King Jason doesn't need specialist restaurants that you get in other hotels, and you don't need to go outside the hotel to eat as I will guarantee you that you will not get better outside. To say the food in the hotel is tremendous is an understatement and Georges’ omelettes of a morning are a must.
One thing that matched the food and that was the staff. The staff are brilliant, spoke good English and extremely polite and courteous. They never let your glass get empty or your plate left empty on the table.
I loved the way they also interacted with you during the day and evening and never walked passed you without a smile or a polite word.
I would love to mention them all but didn’t get every name I wanted to as they worked different times and duties each day.
We had a superb waiter in Hassan though, from our first to last night he was there to look after us, we didn't even have to order our drink, we just had to give him a nod or a wave and he knew.
There was also the lovely Kira whose interaction with everyone was excellent. Stopping to chat with the guests making sure everything was alright.
We really enjoyed our stay here and Hassan and Kira both made it extra special for us.
Big question is - Would we go back? The answer is yes we would.
We met one couple there who said they have been back over 30 times.
I would love to come back in the height of the season and see everything open like the pools bars.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone if you are planning to go to Paphos.
An amazing hotel with the best service. Food was top notch, with a different theme every night. George gets a lot of mentions in reviews, but we found all the staff to be super-helpful and friendly. We also lucked out with the weather, which was much sunnier than the forecast! As others have already said, we've felt 100% safe at all times, and haven't given everything that's going on in the news a 2nd thought.
After all the issues regards Cyprus we were not sure what to expect. We found Pathos and the King Jason Hotel to be a fantastic holiday experience. Clearly hit hard by the scare mongers; there was no reason to be concerned. A brilliant hotel, superb food, lovely facilities and delightful staff. Sparklingly clean and lovely spacious accommodation. Lots to see in the surrounding area.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope that the holiday season picks up.
We had the best holiday in the king Jason hotel

We love the pools and we enjoyed walking around beautiful Paphos
The hotel was so clean
All together it made a fantastic holiday
Due to what’s been going on in the world Cyprus has seen a huge amount of people cancelling their holiday here. We have just had a great weeks stay here at The King Jason and we can honestly say it’s perfectly safe, it feels safe and you can travel around as normal.
This was our third visit to the King Jason and as usual the food was delicious with plenty of choice and beautifully presented. The catering staff do a fantastic job with every meal they present.
Our one bedroom suite was very clean and everything like water, tea coffee etc was replenished daily.
The bathroom had a great rainfall shower with very nice shower gel, shampoo, hand soap and moisturiser provided so no need to bring your own if you don’t need to.
The beds are so comfortable we slept well.
House keeping do a very good job of keeping the hotel looking spotless.
We had a couple of minor problems which the lovely reception staff dealt with quickly. They do a great job of keeping the hotel running smoothly.
The servers do an amazing job of keeping the restaurant looking lovely. The tables are always laid out beautifully and the service is always exceptional. Everyone works very hard. A big thank you to Karina and Hassan especially.
The bar staff are so friendly and also do a great job of constantly looking after the guests.
Thank you to everyone at the KJ for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We are glad we had our holiday so if you’re having second thoughts don’t worry because it’s safe for tourists in Cyprus. Go and have a great holiday.
