The location
Very disappointing stay at Fairmont Pacific Rim, especially considering the price and the reputation of the hotel.
The biggest issue for us was the overall quality and condition of the room. For a hotel that presents itself as a high-end luxury property, the room simply did not feel luxurious. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets and bedding did not have the quality or freshness you would expect from a hotel at this level, and the carpets looked tired and worn. Overall, many of the materials and finishes in the room felt dated and in need of an update.
The location and lobby may be impressive, but once you are actually in the room, the quality does not justify the premium price. We have stayed at many luxury hotels, and this was one of the more disappointing experiences in terms of room quality and comfort.
For the amount we paid, I expected significantly better. I would not stay here again.
Das Hotel ist super gelegen, in der Nähe des Hafens und der Innenstadt. Das Hotel ist modern und funktionell eingerichtet. Die Lobby ist großzügig und die Bar ansprechend. Ich würde das Hotel für einen Aufenthalt von zwei bis drei Nächten empfehlen. Den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt.

The bathtub was leaking and the water came into the room as you can see in the photo
The room we ended up in was fantastic, facing north (over water) on the 17th floor. Fantastic water and mountain view, spacious room, nice bathroom with amenities, appreciated the free daily glass water bottle. The gym was surprisingly well equipped. Really nice lobby bar had great live music every night we were there (Thurs-Sun), but it was really hard to have a conversation (because of the loud crowd/acoustics, not because of the music).
We booked a harbor and Mountain View room, but the first night they put us in a buildings + partial harbor view. After requesting a change, the 2-4 nights were in the room that we'd thought we'd booked. We should have said something the first night, but I wonder why, when I mentioned in my notes that we wanted a full water view and that it was my birthday, they didn't accommodate that request from the start. Bed was a bit soft but still comfortable, pool and hot tub smaller than expected.
