The location and breakfast was excellent. They had the best fruit choice amongst all the 5 star hotels in Italy. The staff were superb, efficient, thoughtful, polite and helpful. As a former business owner I know that it is extremely hard to get this combination right so kudos to the management. The lady who checked us in and Mohammed in the breakfast room were outstanding. Both have the potential to reach to the top in the organization. Khaled seemed to be an all-round hard worker.
I surprise myself by saying that there was nothing to complain about. Usually that is not the case.
This lovely hotel is in an excellent location - very central to all major sights but far enough away to be peaceful. Everywhere was within 10 to 15 mins walk, perhaps 20 mins to Pitti Palace.
Staff were professional, welcoming, with excellent language skills and very knowledgable about places to visit.
Our room was large and extremely comfortable, fully equipped with minibar, complimentary tea, coffee and water. The bathroom was similarly large with bath and shower which were very welcome after long days exploring the city.
The breakfast room was welcoming and a wide choice was offered to suit all tastes. Pastries, fruit, cooked items all available together with freshly made omelette etc on request. The staff there were very friendly and attentive.
The immediate vicinity felt safe to walk around after dark and there are a number of nice restaurants very close by.
The hotel really added to our enjoyment of Florence as it felt like an oasis to return to after busy days sightseeing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.
