Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Okmulgee by IHG

TV wasn’t working when we first got there. Had to call front desk for him to come fix the tv. 20 minutes after that, had to call again because there was no hand soap in the room. Later on we were getting up to take showers and there was no soap nor shampoo.

Then to top it off, I’ve yet to receive my deposit and we stayed there Sept. 21st!

Outside of these issues the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and immediate stocking of the breakfast buffet! The 1 lady running that free breakfast was a kind and very clean energizer bunny! That woman had so much energy and really cared about making that the BEST breakfast buffet around!!! She really cleaned (sanitized? with her spray) every table as soon as the people left there. Too, the outside of the building was constantly cleaned. Staff were all great!

What needed to be improved: My electronic door key wouldn't open the door on our second or third day so we had to find someone to use a key to let us in. They tried and tried to reinstall the card with no success. Still. the staff were great and never complained. The only other concern was cameras in the parking lot. We were told by a staff person there were no cameras in the parking lots and in Okmulgee, that was a problem to me.

Clean place to stay with a great complimentary breakfast.

Breakfast is extremely important to me and this hotel has the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten the person who was to be stocking the food was never keeping the food supplied poor service

Tv remote was missing from the room so I could not watch tv. There was hair all in the bathroom walls and floor that was not mine

Staff was very friendly! Rooms were very clean.

The only issue we had was the A/C. It stayed very muggy and warm in our room. We told the front desk but nothing was done about it!

But over all we had a great stay!

Online booking was simple and easy.
Checking in at the front was very pleasant.
Bath towels were missing but, promptly provided by the front.
All good!

The lobby area smelled fresh and clean

It was a little ruff starting our due a miscommunication but once that was cleared up everything was fine and the staff was very helpful and understanding of my situation
Breakfast was amazing.

I had a really bad experience at this hotel. The hotel was dirty. The breakfast was great, but our rooms were dirty. There was hair all over the floor here on the bed and some of the sheets were also dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to stay in a clean nice place. I peaked the Holiday Inn because I figured it would be clean, but it was not.

Beda are too tall for older short people

At check-in, we were informed that the pool was out of service. The clerk offered to cancel our reservation without penalty. Since it was a holiday weekend, canceling would have limited our options or required paying a higher rate. When I asked for a discount, she said none could be applied. No additional compensation was offered despite the $200 nightly rate.

We end up adding a night for a total of three nights . We never received housekeeping & had to keep requesting towels & empty our trash, and toilet paper.
The pool was closed for maintenance.

The breakfast was great.
The Staff was friendly and professional.

I was told my request for a handicap accessibility room was ignored because I booked through Expedia. I requested a caught which is advertised are available upon request. They did not have one available. I went to a local Wal-Mart and purchased one for my 82 year old handicap mother. Very, Very, disappointing.

Not very clean. Broken soap container in the bathtoom, broken toilet paper holder, used towel left behind from previous renter, shower curtain was torn, bed sheet also had a tear... seems very neglectful. All of these could have been easily fixed..
