We really enjoyed our stay. It’s wonderful to have a stay in really unique hotel.
Very nice clean suite 504. Breakfast each day was quite good. The waiter and cook were very efficient and friendly. One block from Zum Brunnstein. Three blocks from Farmer & Lou. Both great dinners.
Moma 1890 was a great hotel, very artsy and great service. It is located right next to Ostbahnhof which made traveling to and from the hotel very easy. It was also near several great restaurants including ones that served traditional Bavarian foods. Being near the train station also helped with leaving for the airport with luggage so we didn’t have to roll it around everywhere. But no joke, the entrance was literally not even 10 meters from the hotel. The receptionists were nice and helpful with good suggestions about nearby places to eat and go. The minibar consisted of chocolates, chips, still and sparkling water, orange drinks, and coca-cola. Alcoholic beverages came at a cost but everything else was free. The hotel was a boutique hotel and had paintings and art worked into its different rooms and corners. Overall, this was a nice place and was very comfortable and quiet place to stay in Munich.
After spending three weeks traveling and staying at several hotels, this was easily one of my favorites, alongside another wonderful hotel in the Alps.
The room was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a thoughtfully selected variety of fresh, high-quality options.
What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Andrea was incredibly helpful and professional, offering great recommendations whenever I needed them. Yanis made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and was always happy to help. And a special thank you to Pietro for the fantastic Italian cappuccinos every morning—they were the perfect start to the day.
I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

The room was small
My experience was so lovely! Was my first time to Munich and traveling alone I felt very comfortable and safe staying at MOMA 1890! The staff were all extremely kind and I got help from Marcell. The breakfast was beautiful and the rooms so cute and nice. I really enjoyed my stay!
Our six night stay was excellent. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was good sized with space for toiletries and a nice shower. The hotel was very quiet. Although the street was next to our window, there was virtually no noise. The hotel has AC, unusual in Germany.
We loved the area. There are many bakeries and restaurants within easy walking distance. The restaurants appear to be mostly populated by locals. The entrance to the train station is literally steps from the front door, so it’s easy to get around.
We enjoyed the coffee, free snacks and honor bar.
Minor complaints: the coffee from the machine, although good, was lukewarm. We had breakfast once. It was very good but too expensive. Coffee should be available in the morning. The coffee at breakfast was the best we had in two weeks in Germany. We would gladly have paid extra to have it in the morning. One of the staff members demanded to know who we were when we returned one afternoon. He could have been more polite.
My stay at the Moma1890 was great! My room was super - clean, comfortable, lots of light, and plenty of room. I didn't have breakfast there, however appreciated the various free drinks and the availability of wine and beer for a small fee. The hotel it right across the street from a train station, but I didn't not hear any noise from it and my room even faced the street. The neighborhood had several restaurants and bars, including on the other side of the train station. The building with Otto 25 (5-10 minutes walking) has a great rooftop bar with a 360 view of the city. I would definitely stay here again! Note that this is across town from the Munich Hbf.
Lovely small hotel with lots of nearby restaurants. A great spot in a nice neighborhood. Breakfast was tasty and fresh.
