Convenient, Comfortable clean basic overnight stay next to a charming all night diner
Pros:

Location was perfect for a convenient I-64 east over night stop over after a 5-hour drive from Kentucky. We loved the attached diner, although it was explained it was not part of the hotel.

Cons:

The check-in at the diner was a little unconventional. Our room had Limited amenities, no coffee making, no bottled water, minimal toiletries, thin towels.

Looked like I’d love it but was very disappointed
Pros:

I liked they had a 24 hour cute diner just literally outside the door

Cons:

No wifi. It wasn’t working that night she said. Had to run around and find someone to get us a shower curtain and facial tissue. Was annoying to have to put clothes back on and find someone to get us a shower curtain and there being no wifi.

I have stayed in nicer hotels but very convenient.
Pros:

Hotel close to family

Cons:

Found someone else's sock so floor was not vacuumed after last person stayed. No tissue. Check in was weird and person that registered was unpleasant.

No reason to keep the deposit
Pros:

Booked the room for my husband due to bad weather on his way home. He said the room was very nice and clean and very comfortable after being in his truck for so long.

Cons:

I paid for the room online and my husband's card was charged AGAIN for the room after midnight the day he checked in. Took 2 days to correct that mistake and he still has not received his $50 deposit he was told would be returned after check out. Room was left in good condition but no deposit returned. It's been 4 days.

Pros:

Weird experience. TV was on when we got in our room and would not turn off so my son had to unplug it. It did not look like the room had been swept and there were pennies left on the windowsill. Curtains gaped open and did not close all the way. Bed were comfortable and hotel was quiet. Not horrible but just okay stay.

Great location, but it’s not been taken care of.

Cons:

The room was not taken care of. Someone installed a floor length mirror cockeyed and there was no coffee maker, while there was a microwave and refrigerator ( that didn’t keep things cool). The only thing that was clean in our room was the beds. The shower, floors and surfaces were not clean. We arrived well after check in. Our room wasn’t ready due to a dryer breakdown. Tabitha offered us a free meal from the diner and that was sweet. While I understand things happen, there were 4 of us and two wash cloths. The carpet had not been vacuumed. We found either dog treats or turds on the floor. We love the little diner next door. We’ve stayed here many years ago and can definitely see a big decline. Also, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. Will not stay here again, sadly.

Pros:

Check in was at the diner in the parking lot of motel. There was no front desk or service area...not even a place for cup of coffee: including in room). Entrance was very dirty. (After we registered the diner waitress told us that they had a contract with the train company and if the guys got noisy to let her know).
Our handicapped, which we did not ask for but I pity anyone who was handicapped using it. Our room was at the end of the building, down and poorly lit long hall. Rm118 was musty and extremely dirty, shower was moldy and rusted, and looked uncleaned for a long time. There was urine stains on the wall beside down the front of the toilet. Nothing in the rm was clean or dusted so I went back to our car and got disinfectant spray and wipes to at least kill the germs. I did the entire rm and still felt the creeps there. Could not take showers and were dirty from being on a train for 5 hrs that day. I have pictures and seriously I could go on and on. We would have left but didn't know the area, it was late, were exhausted, and GPS was sporadic, so we stayed sleeping very little. It was one of the worst hotel experience we have ever had including 3rd world countries. All this and we were Charged $200.01 to our credit card. Had been quoted $150.01. Didn't get a recipe from the gal in the diner. (I should have asked). Such a sad ending to our long awaited get away. Please do something about this so that no one else has to go through it.
