Pros:

The location

Cons:

The exercise room was just ok. There wasn’t a rowing machine and many mats to choose from. There also weren’t any bottles of sanitizer. The windows around the exercise room and the pool were not frosted so people on the sidewalk were able to look in.

Superb service!
Pros:

We spent many nights at the Marriott Residence Inn due to an illness of a family member. We were consistently treated with respect and friendliness. The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were very very good. A special shout out to Bean and Mackenzie. Thank you!

Portland Vacation Stay
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful and room was clean. We could hear noise from other rooms but AC muffled it so didn't impact sleep. The hotel was close to waterfront and shopping. Based on my family's experience, can highly recommend!

Housekeeping will walk in on you unannounced & mgmt will blame you
Pros:

We booked a double queen suite. We were assigned a room directly across from the elevator, and the view was into a concrete parking garage. At 8am, housekeeping entered the room without knocking - they just walked right in unannounced - I had the door stopper enacted, but if I didn’t, they would have walked right in and been arms-width away from us in bed. The way the room is designed, opening up the door is opening it up right into one of the beds, and directly into the elevator area.

I reported this to the front desk. On our second morning, housekeeping entered the room AGAIN at 8:38am - mind you, check-out was not until 11am. I immediately called front desk, and they said “Well it sounds like they knocked this time”. It is completely unacceptable to enter hotel rooms of paying customers without reason. There is no excuse for that. The manager called me back, and told me I was being “dramatic” having strangers walk in on you two mornings in a row is normal housekeeping practice at his hotel, and they would have to have ‘security’ review the key system to see who had entered the room (because he tried to call me a liar and said it never happened). I asked if they could review the camera footage, and he claimed they didn’t have cameras in the hallways….im almost certain there are cameras in the elevator lobbies.

The manager also asked me to give a description of the woman who entered our room (I only saw her the 2nd morning), and asked me ‘what language was she speaking?’. That is also entirely inappropriate. If your HK staff have not been notified that a room is occupied, 2 days in a row, that is a management deficiency. If you encourage HK staff to enter guest rooms early to try and expedite checkout, that’s still a management deficiency.

Mind you, I was trying to spend Mother’s Day with my child and it was ruined. I never asked for any sort of refund, I just expect this hotel, management, and whatever else, to acknowledge how unacceptable their experience was.

Housekeeping will enter your room at 8am, so be prepared. I think that’s illegal.
Pros:

The pool is nice, the rooms are nice.

Cons:

Housekeeping entered our room 2 days in a row without notice at 8am. The first morning, they didn’t even knock, they just walked in. That’s unacceptable.

Anniversary trip to Old Port in Portland stayed in a Residence Inn. 3 star accomodations.
Pros:

Breakfast was bigger than most that offer breakfast included with many options. I did not see all day coffee/tea but did not ask for it either. Location was near Old Port, but we needed to walk to find restaurants. Parking was in a garage next door.

Cons:

Only one elevator working.

Great spot
Pros:

Great area to walk around and the staff was excellent.

Cons:

I'm definitely a dog person but the fact peoples' dogs walk through the area where breakfast was served is a little much.
