The view and location
Origination was poor. Could not control temperature in the room. The solution from the manager was to open the balcony door. It was very hot because they control the temperature and had the heat on. Also, the price for 1 plate of rice with olive oil was 25 euro
The view from the balcony, from the restaurant was fabulous. And the food for breakfast was very good!
Maybe some furniture needs some renovation, and the pillows were not so comfy, but that's more personal I think.
Posizione
Vista ok.
O quarto cheira a cloro. Cama não era boa. Café da manhã em salão muito barulhento.
Hotel que recebe excursões, não me agradou.
Atendentes ruins, não mostraram simpatia , serviço ruim.
Accoglienza e cortesia
Niente. Tutto perfetto
Happy to report that the negative reviews I had read about this hotel bore no relation to my stay there.
Firstly, the pool is amazing and the views are truly stunning. The meals were all really tasty. As a fussy eater, I was a little worried - i don't eat any fish or creamy sauces - and I ate everything on offer! Always three choices for main & starter and you could always ask for something else and they would do theur best. I never received a cold meal!
The only little niggle was my room. The single room was tiny. I mean REALLY minute and it had a wonky bed. But after speaking to the lovely guy on reception, he moved me to a double room with garden view the next day.
The shuttle minibus was excellent. Took you into Sorrento or Vico Equense daily.
All in all, I highly recommend this lovely hotel.
While there are a few good things about the hotel, the fact that it’s near impossible to get a good night’s sleep here really ruined the holiday for me and my family, as we spent the whole time exhausted. You can hear absolutely every movement in the rooms above, below and next to you, if they watch the TV at midnight or 6am, so do you! Lots of guests need to get up early for flights or excursions, so from 6am each day, all you can hear in your room is furniture being dragged over the floor above you, the TV on next door, people slamming doors (all the wardrobe doors slam noisily as they are old and clumsy, plus the bathroom doors are stiff old sliding doors that screech). We had earplugs but they did nothing as it’s so close and so loud. Go to bed early you say! Yep, we tried that, but the hotel rents out its outside area to events that blast loud music towards the hotel rooms from massive speakers until about 1am. Just absolutely bizarre. When you mention any of this to reception, you are scowled at, laughed at, at one point the man on reception told me ‘it’s not us that’s the problem, it’s the other guests!’ and I was dismissed.
The pool area is lovely and not too packed. Rooms are small, dated and noisy but the view is amazing from the weird balcony. Proximity to the train station is great if you want to travel around, which we enjoyed doing.
The pool, the view, bar service, and cleaning staff was nice. Room was clean.
Front desk staff was good except for the tall guy who sits on the left. He was very rude and loud and we didn't get our welcome drink when we arrived. He looked busy and frustrated every time we walked by. He was very unapproachable so we tried to avoid him and wait for someone else to be at the desk. Asked him to compensate us for not being able to sleep the first three days and he said no! No explanation at all. We booked 4 rooms for an entire week and no one slept for three days so it was difficult to enjoy our time during the day. We did not get quiet rooms like requested. We should have been advised beforehand that there were birthday parties until 12:30 and fireworks. Breakfast was not good and the exact same every single morning. We stayed for a week so near the end we couldn't even eat it anymore. Fruit was not fresh so we purchased our own fruit at the store down the road, eggs were cold and watery and what's with hot dogs for breakfast? Pastries could have been much better especially for Italy. Breakfast layout could have been better, we were always going from one side to the other side to get what we needed. For example why is the cold milk not with the cereal? All the other resorts we stayed at the breakfast was amazing!
Closet door needs to be fixed in Room 319.
TV was small compared to other places and in a bad spot.
The entire resort could use some updating.
Towels we received for the week by the pool were old and ruff to lay on, time for some new soft ones.
This was a family trip that we have been saving up for for a long time, so very disappointed!!!
Friendly staff, helpful. Clean. Not the modern of hotels. Pool, very good. I went 1/2 board and breakfast and dinner lovely.
Convenient to the local train station taking you to Naples, Sorrento or Vico Equence.
Air in room, worked perfectly.
I've seen some reviews here and all I say is make your own mind up. For me, it was great.
