Very nice hotel. Great staff and delicious breakfast. I liked how quiet the hotel was for me.
Convenient to airport and shopping with good restaurants nearby as well.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel after a long day of traveling. We were very pleased with how clean and well prepared the hotel is. Even the hallways were immaculate and didn't have any debris on the floor. Our room was very clean, tidy and well prepared. The bathroom was spotless!! We'll stay here again when we travel via PDX. Thanks to all the staff!!
First thing the wife said when we got out of the car was "it smells like pee." Not what you want to hear (or smell)... Area is ok, better than other areas nearby, but there's still homelessness issues (across the street) and I didn't have a good feeling about the parking lot and our vehicle. Fortunately we had no issues. Hotel and experience was what you'd expect from a Hyatt Place, but the location left a lot to be desired, probably won't travel through Portland again on our next family road trip.
As Explorist we are afforded certain benefits, except at Hyatt Place Portland Airport/Cascade Station. Upon check in we were assigned the worst room in the hotel, room 151. First floor, across from exit stairs and right next to exit that is used all night and early morning. Our window open to garbage inclosure. We could hear garbage truck and every car that came in and out of that parking lot. Our profile is high floor close to elevators. We asked about being placed in that room and were told they were full even though we checked in very early through app. We stopped using this property a while back because we never received our perks. Never have an issue anywhere else. Status and membership never matter at this property.
The location to the airport and restaurants.
The noise of not airplanes but other guests and the cleanliness of the room.
The mattress was horrible
Conveniently close to the airport, but we couldn’t hear the airplanes inside our room! Nice and clean and awesome breakfast.
Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was delicious. Great shuttle. Price was reasonable.
Nothing
Flying out of PDX in the early mornings, we switch between the Hyatt Place and Residence Inn at Cascade station based on price/free nights and they are both fine hotels for the night before a flight. Our king room was spacious and clean. The airport shuttle was on time and quick. The hotel is nicely appointed for its class. It’s what you’d expect for a budget airport hotel and has easy walking access to shopping and restaurants. Happy to give five stars for excelling at what it is intended to be.
close drive to the airport and great breakfast as well as a little container for items to go, yummy egg bites and hash brown potatoes
I was in town, visiting friends for a long weekend in Vancouver, WA. Since I didn't plan to spend much time in Portland proper, I figured that an airport hotel would be ideal. The Hyatt Place suited my needs perfectly. The airport shuttle made it easy getting to/from the hotel, and the location being closer to WA for my needs made it simple to avoid PDX traffic. Just be aware: the hotel is surrounded by corporate chain restaurants, such as IHOP, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Wendy's, so if you are hungry but want to avoid fast food, you are pretty much out of luck (except for one restaurant in the huge shopping center across the street). That is typical for an airport hotel, but something to keep in mind before booking.
The only things preventing a perfect review is that there were odd, brown spots on a towel next to the sink when I arrived. This towel certainly should have gone through the wash a few times before being hung back up. Otherwise, a perfectly reasonable and pleasant stay.
I love the Hyatt room set up of 2 queens and a pul outdoors bet with partial privacy screen for a family of 5. More spacious than then usual Hyatt room to me. Very friendly front office staff and shuttle driver. Offer free scheduled shuttle service to airport and even pick up from airport (which bai super close by). Great communicator and right on time! Would stay again!
Stayed here the past 2 weekends and used 24/7 airport shuttle both times. It could not have been any easier. Easy walk to numerous restaurants and Light Rail.. The staff was friendly and hotel breakfast choices far exceeds other chains.
Over the top Breakfast and all the amenities
