Pros:

Location , staff, bar and bar food, and main restaurant. Beach club was very nice too.

Cons:

Quality of bed , bed linen, pillows all let the hotel down. Housekeeping standard was poor. And breakfast canteen style really doesn’t suit what is purported to be an elegant boutique hotel. I expect at an expensive hotel to be served breakfast in a restaurant, even a buffet, but queueing for a coffee in a paper cup is tacky and cheapens the place.

Overpriced, noisy location and distance to beach, tennis and golf.

i had some questions prior to arrival and phoned the hotel multiple times. Front desk never picked up. I was able to talk to someone from the central reservations number, but they simply transferred me to the front desk, so the non answering cycle just continued. I then emailed the hotel about a week before arrival, both directly and via Bookings, but only got a reply the night before our arrival.Besides the pool, not much ‘resort’ things on site. And the pool, though lovely is probably 90% in shade at the best of times. Need to be shuttled everywhere. Extremely noisy location. We had a very large lovely room with balcony, however, only 2 dining style chairs to sit on. The room was near the elevator and soundproofing was non existent. We had constant noise from people using the elevators. We had also a locked door connecting to another room, which also wasn’t soundproofed so we heard our neighbours constantly and assume they heard us (they were not loud, but we could have been in the same room!). And then there was a balcony - which was totally unusable because of the sound of motorcycles and revved up cars from Delray’s busiest street. We ate breakfast most days, but the wait was usually at least 30 minutes to get food on the table because the kitchen seemed to take care of the takeaway cafe first. The hotel also added 20% gratuity automatically to each of their food services. And finally, while at the hotel, never once did the front desk pick up when we called. They were available in person in the lobby. Needless to say, we will not return - this is a five star hotel with price to match but the noise level of the room and minimal on site facilities (the advertisement makes it seem that they are a beach front property) was unacceptable.
