Maitrise Hotel Maida Vale - London

Algehele staat van de kamer. Tv functioneert niet goed, doorgebrand scherm en haperend beeld. Er mist een nachtkastje aan een kant van het bed. Lamp boven rechterzijde werkt niet. Deur naar de badkamer klemt. Bedden zijn matig. Spiegel in badkamer is slechts verlicht en rookglas, dus vrijwel geen zicht.
Onderhoud is zeer matig, het voelt onhygiënisch aan, vlekken op de muur etc. En voor dat alles betaal je ruim 150 euro per nacht...

Quite a lot, the room was unbearably hot, air con must’ve not been working properly and a room fan didn’t help make things better, we asked to move at 1am in the morning as the room was so unbearable. The room we were placed in was still too hot and was very scruffy, carpet had burnt sections, bathroom door looked chewed from the inside, bathroom tiles weren’t placed properly, it all felt a bit unclean?! I complained to head office about my stay and they never responded, I want my money back for this awful stay!!

air conditioning wasn’t very effective; on hotter days, you could really feel it, and the windows don’t open; the toilet flush wasn't very effective (low water pressure); the bed wasn't very comfortable

Our A/C did not work which left us in a sweltering hot room in the middle of a red warning heatwave. The hotel provided us with a fan however this did not cool the room down. We asked on multiple occasions if the A/C could be looked at. The room was well in excess of 30°c. We had to use damp t-shirts as cooling rags, take multiple cold showers and could not sleep.
The windows didn’t stay open. To get some airflow we had to hold these open with a pillow - the heat was quite frankly an unsafe level. I am glad we weren’t vulnerable people. Had there have been other hotels available we would have moved location.
The room was dirty and had ants.
The hotel has ignored our communications to rectify our stay, which is disappointing as we found the manager helpful the day of checkout when we were eventually moved to a new room and provided complimentary drinks.

The location and hotel were not as expected

Only had 1 room left when we booked which was basement twin room with no window. As it was only for 1 night we decided to go ahead and book.
Small wardrobe, but hanging rail far too high, I personally couldn’t reach the hangers.
Air con didn’t work, would not go lower than 20 degrees, and as stated no window in room and also it was 39 degrees in London on the day.
Hand held shower couldn’t be used as the hose had a large hole in it and more water was coming out of the hole than the head. Luckily had rainfall shower head to use.
No tv remote in the room. Called reception who sent a man down with 6 different remotes, none of which worked, was told someone would be there at 9am in the morning to sort the problem, however we did tell him that we were due to leave the following morning.
The receptionist was very apologetic regarding the issues above, she seemed very genuine. She did offer us complimentary breakfasts which we declined as we were checking out.
