Did it's purpose but too much $ given the experience

Close to the event I was attending

Cons:

Arriving inside, lights were dim. In lobby and hallway. It was weird because it was 6pm. Girl at check in seemed nice but didn't explain anything. I'm not from the area, I had to ask how to get to the room, she stayed it's on the 2nd floor which i presented given the room number so i asked best place to park. Nothing said about amenities, etc.
Room smelled so musty and like smokers were in it. Some of the pillows have seem better days. I felt like I was laying my head on an old pillow that was all flimsy and falling apart inside. Tub was broken on the outside of it. Heard dog on our floor late at night barking. Drunk guy out on the parking lot blasting music, parked awkwardly, had to walk by to get to car, not so pleasant while he was yelling something. For the cost, I'd expect something a little better experience.

Good, clean, basic stay in the Paynesville area.
Pros:

Inconsistent food service for breakfast. Some staff excelled at maintaining the breakfast offerings, while others fell significantly short.

Clean, comfortable and pleasant stay
Pros:

Good location for my situation. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean, comfortable, functional and modern with a large flatscreen television. The lobby and breakfast areas are inviting and comfortable. All room facilities and appliances were in working order.

Cons:

A few minor points:
For my two night stay, staff were not quite keeping the breakfast items replenished—coffee, eggs, sausage, etc even the the breakfast was far from over. Other residents remarked on this as well.
Soda/pop vending machine was not working for me.
