Mixed feelings on this location. We chose this hotel over nearby, similarly priced hotels completely based on the advertised happy hour. We were moving our son into college and had brought tons of belongings into our room so were not wanting to leave the premises. So we were unpleastantly suprised when the front desk receptionist told us that the new owners had ended the happy hour a few weeks prior. It seems to be false advertising/bad business to stop the event without removing it from the website.
Our stay was overall comfortable, employees were kind, and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. No complaints there, just not the stay we expected.
Nice, clean room. Breakfast choices were limited but acceptable. Friendly staff and grounds were well-kept (our dog appreciated that!).

The bedsheets were badly soiled! The front desk personnel was apologetic however offered no solution and advised the hotel was sold out! Here we are a week later and I have not received any refund, being told by Booking.com that the hotel manager has been unresponsive to requests for confirmation!
I didn’t stay at the hotel- when I went to check in I was told they were full and sent me away saying they would cancel

Location great for stopping point between cities going N/S through Texas. The lobby, hallways and room is showing wear and tear, especially the carpets! The whole place smells that mildew, over-disinfected smell of an old carpet, especially in the room. There was a section of the wallpaper in the hall on the first floor that is falling away from the wall! The (very small) pool was not operational. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Finally, the front desk was either rushing around, absent from the front desk, or sullenly refilling the coffee pots and food trays. My personal pet peeve is that the hot water in the provided pot has a coffee smell and taste-which, if you are a tea drinker, is NOT PLEASANT! Very underwhelming experience, which is sadly common among moderately priced (less than $200/night) hotels just one step above scary.
