Pros:

The rooms are good, location is great but read the negative stuff below

Cons:

It smelled like my worst nightmare because of the seaweed and they gave us a room on the third floor with no elevator. Try climbing it drunk at 3am with that smell.

Pros:

I got the 3 bedroom/3 bathroom penthouse with ocean view. The place was amazing with such beautiful view. The full kitchen was very helpful since I traveled with my husband and in-laws with my 3 year old. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our luggage since the elevator on our side was out of order and we were located on yhe 3rd floor. I recommend the transportation service they offer from the airport to the condos and back. Very professional and even if our arrival got delayed, our driver waited for us.

Cons:

That the elevator on our side of the building to the penthouse on the 3rd floor was out of service. I do appreciate however the staff helped us take the luggage. But I mean we paid alot to have the best and the elevator issue had us upset arriving from our tours. Having to climb all the way up there at the end of the day. Also the pool on our side of the building was not working, we were offered the pool on the other side of the building. But it would be such a hassle having to come downstairs from yhe 3rd floor then up afterwards. We ended up just using the jacuzzi at its lowest level for my toddler to play. Lastly I didn't like the VERY strong smell of the seagrass I know its out of their control but it was very bad and looked bad for the condos.

Une bonne adresse
Pros:

Emplacement idéal, grande chambre plutôt bien équipée. Personnel sympathique (mais plus résidence qu hôtel à service) parking gratuit. Super literie

Cons:

Un seul ménage sur 3 jours … anormal. La piscine est sale pas ptraticable (eau trouble et jaune)

The team at El Taj was amazing! From front desk to bellman to housekeeping and restaurant team- everyone was so pleasant and took a great care of us at all times!
Room was spacious and clean, 2 pools, food at the restaurant is deliscious so don't forget to order from there. They have plenty of amenities for children and for the beach so you don't need to carry anything with you.
If ever back in Playa we will definitely come back! Thank you for making our vacation so pleasant and smooth.

Pros:

Lo más que valoro en mis puntuación es que la información que está en Booking cuando llegue al lugar se corresponde. El apartamento está muy cómodo, grande, la cocina muy bien equipada y limpio. El personal muy amable y profesional. Siempre dispones de agua para beber. La batidora de vaso, muy práctica para hacer batidos de frutas. También está muy bien el pase para el Gimnasio super equipado, hasta con clases dirigidas.
La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca de la 5 avenida, restaurantes, supermercado, etc y de las discotecas. La tranquilidad, no se escucha nada y puedes dormir tranquilamente.

Cons:

La pena el sargazo, que no pudimos disfrutar de la playa , ni instalaciones . Nos ofrecieron cambiar de hotel, pero desistimos ya que estábamos muy cómodo y el mayor tiempo del día estábamos en excursión y disfrutando de Playa del Carmen. El sargazo es algo de la naturaleza y no tiene culpa el hotel. También nos encontramos con los ascensores averiados, pero tampoco fue mayor problema, el personal de encargo de las maletas

Prime location to take advantage of all the activities Playa del Carmen has to offer.
Pros:

Great location with access to the beach and the main strip of Playa del Carmen,. Condo layout allowed us to cook our own meals. Comfortable bedding. Parking allowed us to do road trips and amusement parks, which were a highlight.

Cons:

Seemed to have the most exposure of anywhere we visited to the rotting seaweed smell during sargassum season. Had no soap for two days. Decor was quaint but a little dated.

Nice pool area from what I could tell, though we weren’t able to use it.

Cons:

Unfortunately I can’t say much about the hotel, we arrived pretty late at night and immediately noticed an incredibly rancid smell. Thinking it would get better in the morning, we stayed the night, but unfortunately it got even worse the next day.
Apparently it is seagrass season at playa del Carmen, which we didn’t know, there was also no notice or any kind of „warning“ prior to our arrival.
I understand the hotel is not responsible for nature, but the smell basically made me unable to leave the room. We couldn’t use the pool or let alone the beach, since stepping outside basically made you throw up immediately.
Again, I am not blaming the hotel for the excessive amount of seagrass but I do think there should be some kind of warning or notice issued in these circumstances. There wasn’t a single guest anywhere outside, the pool and beach were completely empty so I firmly believe we werent the only guests affected by this.
Unfortunately we pretty much had to flee after one night, the general manager let us know they weren’t issuing any kind of refund because „we could have just asked for a different room“ - which wouldn’t have helped anything at all, since the smell was literally everywhere like the whole complex was rotten.
Overall really not a pleasant experience, I hope businesses consider letting tourists know about the conditions prior to arriving to avoid situations like this in the future.

Pros:

L'appartement était grand et le lit confortable.

Cons:

L'odeur dans l'appartement. Il fallait tout le temps faire tourner la hote dans la salle de bain sinon il y avait une vieille odeur. On a pas pu utiliser le jacuzzi,ni la piscine ni la plage privée. La plage a été envahi par des sargasses. Et l'hôtel est conçu en U donc l'odeur rentre mais ne ressort pas. Impossible de rester dehors plus de quelques minutes tellement ça puait, j'ai failli vomir dans la cour. Impossible d'aller manger au restaurant qui avaint toutes ses vitres ouvertes. Bref payé une fortune pour au final fuire au maximum l'hotel, très décevant. Nous avons essayé de voir avec l'équipe de l'hôtel qui n'était pas du tout intéressé par les problèmes de leurs clients ... le nez sur le téléphone mais pour trouver des solutions = personne. On nous a rien offert en échange. Tous les matins je leur demandais s'ils connaissaient une plage sans sargasse je n'avais aucun retour. Je devais moi même chercher l'information alors que je ne parlais pas la langue. On a cherché et payé un beach-club tout seul, alors que de base tous les équipements été prévu dans l'hôtel. La seule chose qui a été mise à disposition, c'est une voiture de golf pour nous emmener à la plage privée. Mais au retour le chauffeur avait fini sa journée il fallait rentrer a pied... Pas du tout a la hauteur de standing vendu. Et le dernier jour dans le parking il y avait plein d'eau, j'ai glissé, je suis tombé par terre. Le gardien assi sur sa chaise au bout du parking a levé les yeux de son téléphone mais ne s'est pas précipiter pour m'aider à me relever il a rebaissé sa têtesur son téléphone. Et quand je suis allé prévenir la réception pour leur dire que j'avais glissé qu'il n'y avait pas de panneau "sol glissant" et que le parking était plein d'eau, ils m'ont regardée avec des yeux écarquillés, ils m'ont repondu Ok et je n'ai même pas eu droit à des excuses...

Pros:

Appartamento molto spazioso e accogliente, letti e cuscini comodi, cucina fornitissima, piscine piccole ma funzionali, parcheggio privato disponibile. Posizione ottima. Acqua potabile sempre disponibile.

Cons:

Concierge non molto celere (ha risposto con un messaggio pre compilato 24 ore dopo la nostra richiesta senza darci nessuna informazione utile).
Forte.odore di alghe, non presente nel complesso a monte, ma non è colpa della struttura.

Muy bonito y amplio camas cómodas
Pros:

El alojamiento está bien bonito, las instalaciones cuidadas, rentamos varios días tiene para cocinar y es muy amplio y espacioso, camas cómodas

Cons:

Había mucho zargazo en la playa por la época y puede oler mal afuera pero eso es ya una problemática por la época no tiene que ver con el hotel
