If this is the "Pearl Design Hotel," the pearl has been left in a muddy oyster bed for decades. The four-star rating is baffling – this struggles to meet basic two-star standards.

The Great Photographic Deception
The website photos must have been taken by a professional illusionist. They bear no resemblance to reality.

The Bathroom
Genuinely tatty. The shower was encrusted with limescale you could scrape off with a knife. Fixtures held together with silicone. No toilet roll holder – just the roll balanced wherever possible.

The Room
Shaggy carpet (in 2025!) covered in dirty patches. Dilapidated furniture. Of three window lights, only one worked. The others had missing tubes or emitted infuriating electrical buzzes from failing starters.

The Air Conditioning
Opening the louvres revealed an interior caked in filth. The display helpfully showed the filter was overdue for replacement – by months, judging by the state.

The Ironing Equipment
The first iron's sole was completely blackened from burning. The replacement had a limescale-filled reservoir and a power cord patched with sticky tape – an actual fire hazard. The board cover was filthy, forcing me to iron between towels.

Verdict
See also the enclosed photographs; I'm not making this up. The neighbourhood isn't ideal, but room conditions are entirely the hotel's responsibility. I will never return nor recommend this property.

This pearl needs to be thrown back into the sea.

Nice hotel. Public transport a bit of a problem as only 1 x bus line close by. I solve this by renting Uber scooters.

Area around the river is nice and removed from the sordid train station area.
Staff nice and friendly.
Room modern and ample.

(If they offer to get a taxi, decline and use Uber - or pay triple).

Im Vergleich zu den Features, die laut der auf dem Zimmer liegenden Infomappe vorhanden sein sollten, fehlten: "Vanity Box", Tresor, Wäschebeutel, Kaffee, Getränke in der Minibar (welche komplett leer war). Und der Rauchmelder fehlte.

Decently sized rooms, good bed, great location near the Main riverbanks and the center.

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding oké.

Sehr schönes Hotel

A great little find with excellent service and welcome for the price. Rooms were comfortable and warm. Was used as a base to visit someone in the nearby large hospital, and was only a 15 minute walk from the main Frankfurt train station (which is a direct link to the airport). Will be remembered for any future trips to that area, above the larger and more expensive chains.

Friendly receptionist, easy check in, parking available, good buffet breakfast

The location was within walking distance from the HBF and a quick Uber to the airport. The shag carpet was a choice and our bathroom had some obvious water damage, but it was good for the night and the price.

Klimaanlage funktioniert überhaupt nicht, dass Zimmer riecht übelst, für 4 Sterne hotel erwartet man anderes.

駅から少し歩くが、治安は良く、夜も安心でき、近くにスーパーもあるので便利。ホテルは清潔で、必要な電化製品は揃っており、スタッフはフレンドリー、とても快適に過ごせます。

Hébergement très cher pour la qualité de la chambre, surtout respectivement à l’offre importante proposée dans le centre de Francfort. Un bureau très petit, une couette trop petite pour la taille du lit. TV archaique. Les meubles de salle de bains sont quasiment rouillés et datent, avec des multiples traces de calcaire dans la douche. Dans l’ensemble, on y passe un bon séjour, mais pour le prix proposé, on peut trouver bien mieux

Im Großen und Ganzen für Geld sehr ausreichend. Badezimmer leichter Urin Geruch und das Licht ohne Funktion und etwas laut im und ums Hotel. Es war aber auszuhalten.

Walking distance to the train station

Für den Preis ok. Leider der Kühlschrank und Tresor in verschiedenen Zimmern immer wieder defekt.

Auch das man mich nach dem 10. Aufenthalt immer noch nicht wiedererkennt sagt mir etwas
