Unic Design Hotel - Near Mamitas Beach Club

Great stay. Very clean, staff were friendly, everything worked including WiFi. Would stay again.

Hotel front desk immediately made you feel welcome and explained everything well. Italian restaurant on ground floor provided a very good free continental breakfast. Coffee, juice, fruit/muesli bowl and toast jam.
There is a fair amount of noise that comes into the room from the restaurant up until midnight, so take ear plugs and you won’t notice it.

Price was good. Nice restaurant with continental breakfast included. Shopping, restaurants, bars and clubs nearby. Very noisy throughout the night.

They Need a Security Guard ASAP : on my first night , i had a HORRIBLE encounter , i was getting put of my room and some random Dude aproach me asking we ( who was she with ?) he was knoking on some empty room , then he grab me hard by the arm and pushed me towards him asking me millions of questions i had to yell in the top of my lungs for him to let me go , finally i go down and tell the lobby employee and they were so numb about it , too slow to re act finally they call the cops and Arrested the Individual. they need more awareness and either a sec guard or a better entry system !! that was a very scary experience !!!

Enjoyed the location and the female at the front desk was awesome!!

A beautiful room, located in a prime location of Centro. Featuring a great staff, well maintained rooms and it is connected to a Italian restaurant in the lobby (where guest eat at a discounted rate). I stayed here for a month and enjoyed the stay. Unic Design Hotel is a great option if you enjoy being in the action of Quinta Avenida!

Very reasonably priced. Very clean room and comfortable bed. I would have appreciated a blanket. What was available was something that resembled curtains instead of an actual blanket. I did encounter two very big cockroaches; one in the lobby and one in the hallway leading to my room. I notified the desk clerk, and when I returned later there was a man spraying insecticide. I appreciated that. It is a tourist area so there is quite a bit of loud music from local bands playing from about 8 PM to 1 AM every day. After that, it becomes very quiet. I just shut the windows and put earplugs in my ears. A free continental breakfast was included. One day, when I had finished my breakfast, the waiter asked me if he could get me anything else. I asked him for a little more coffee, and he said he would have to charge me 600 pesos! That's almost $6.00 U.S. dollars for a little splash of coffee which I found absurd and ridiculous.

I really enjoyed UNIC awesome property!

I only had couple of "dings' about it:
When I first arrived I noticed the handle of my room's entrance almost falling off, JULIO the employee who showed me to my room took note about it but maintanence never took care of it for whole stay!!

The second "ding" was at check out, I ate some street food and got kinda sick from it (not major) I appproach the manager ANA if I could check out bit later (just 30 minutes tops) and she sarcasticly replyed that based on the circuntances that I was going thru she would be nice enought to allow me 5 (five) minutes after check out . . . 5 (five) minutes, really!!! NO JOKE

To top it off, she thought I was not around anymore and made a really bad comment to the trainee: "yeah, make sure these people don't get away with crap!" . . . Awesome training I guess?!?

She also mentioned to that new employee hat this was not even her property, that she was covering for somebody else but, her main location was in a different place.

Other than the street noise that is noted in most other reviews, this place is awesome for the price — food, service, location, etc.!! Just go prepared! If you complain about the noise after all the warnings, you’re an idiot!!😇

Great location! Great restaurant downstairs and the breakfast was decent. A little noisy at night but it’s 5th Ave. so it’s to be expected. The staff was great and very accommodating. Will definitely stay there again!

Great staff, small hotel with comfortable rooms, great for the price and very good spot near 5th av where everything happens. The only thing I didn't like, but isn't the hotels fault, is the noise, the party and live music from the bars downstairs feels like it was inside the bedroom, that's only till 1:30am, but then at 7am they start the music in the restaurant inside the hotel and the noise wake you up again. Everything else was great to be honest.

Staff was very friendly, ac was cold and room was clean. Don’t forget this is on a very popular street with night life so don’t expect quite nights. Make sure to book through a 3rd party as the hotel prices are more expensive if you book as a walk in.

Service was great, helped with everything from transportation to SIM cards. Very clean nice staff, and great healthy breakfast to start the day.

The property is little and cute. The front desk crew is extremely friendly, honest and helpful.
This is one of the hotel that would fix any problem you present in a blink of an eye . It blew my mind how fast the fix to perfection the sink and shower.
Every day my room was clean to perfection. I do not know if they change my sheets everyday, but my bed was always so clean and perfect. Every day I had towels artwork made for my room. Exceptional talent from the housekeeping crew.
