Great experience. Clean and comfortable room. Nice hotel amenities with everything we needed. Pool was very nice. Hotel staff very friendly.
We had a wonderful time. We took our grandkids and they truly enjoyed your pool. Very nice and clean and the staff was extra pleasant. In this world we’re living in with people. Not being very kind on or helpful. This was a beautiful change for us. Everything was so Smooth and I can’t say enough about the stuff. It would really really wonderful every single person.
Igiene zona giorno, igiene sofà per dormire poco accurata
Unfortunately, we did not get the opportunity to enjoy the room or the facilities, as we were unable to access our room and had to stay at another hotel for the night.
We were very disappointed by the lack of staff availability and the inability to reach the hotel for assistance at night.
The staff were nice and very helpful. Everything was clean. There are 2 pools on the property. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas and clean spaces.
The only negative was all the seaweed on the beach. You couldn't get in the water there was so much of it. This is absolutely no fault of the hotel. Unfortunately this time of year in the Keys the seaweed situation is impossible.
Clean and Great view. Comfortable room and bed
Awesome experience! Clean rooms, great service and very nice property! Savannah was amazing! Highly recommend!
Muy tranquilo
La playa pero no es culpa de nadie solo las algas pero están por todos lados
Comfortable room. Great service and ammenities.
We had an amazing week in the Keys with our children, ages 8 and 5 at the Glunz!
Check in was easy and staff were always friendly. We were able to check in slightly early as we arrived earlier than we thought we would, coming from the Ocala area. What a relief, when traveling with children. Staff even gave us some local suggestions for dining.
Our rooms were nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. Linens were crisp, clean, and soft. We had more than enough towels throughout our entire stay. Bath towels were fluffy and soft. The beach towels were wonderful also. Housekeepers were so nice.
Location of the hotel was perfect for us. We were close to restaurants, marina, and we took the kids to the aquarium, which was right over the bridge.
We were lucky enough to be in the sweet spot right before high season starts. We pretty much had the beach and pool to ourselves. At no fault of the hotel, but the beach did become impossible to use, due to the sargassum; which was incredibly offensive to the nose at times. Again, this is no fault of the hotel, its nature.
The only 2 things for us were the air conditioning and shower pressure. And while abit annoying, we still will return and rated this hotel 5 stars because everything else outweighs these 2 things.
The ac control was a bit frustrating; we understand it is a green initiative. 74 degrees was way too warm for the 4 of us in one small space. My husband and I were exhausted from waking up all week long, to turn the AC back down after it would automatically reset every 2 hours.
Especially after being toasty/burnt by the end of the week - we were hot and just wanted to be cool.
The shower was clean and spacious. We wish the water pressure was a bit stronger. I had a hard time rinsing conditioner out of my hair.
Location was great
I've been coming here for over 30 years, the best place in the keys!
Let me begin by stating that we have been coming to this hotel since 1996. My daughters were pre-teens and now they’ve introduced my grandkids to Glunz and have tried to make some of the same memories they had here. We’ve always enjoyed it immensely. But this time was not the same. Owners are the same I’m told but management is different, very “corporate” like. I will say that all maintenance personnel were extremely nice. Last couple of times we always get the villas #7 or #8 cause they are in front of their own pool. Bad thing is that now around 7-9pm they lock you in the gates and you have no access to the beach at night. Kids have always gone fishing at night from shore and they were locked outside with only access to the villa is to go around by the parking lot and to the front door! The lady that came to lock the gates clearly saw all the kids fishing yet she locked them out without even asking or telling us. I was in the pool area and asked her if this was really necessary since all the other villas seemed to be empty, all she said was yes. I told her I think I’m going to write a complaint about this and she tells me with a huge attitude, go ahead cause the same people you will be complaining to are the same that tell me to lock it and continued toward the other gate to lock as well. We were told that it’s because it’s a liability for insurance purposes because of the pool. I get it. But if we were to have been informed of this beforehand, we would not have asked for this villa which we paid much more money for and would have just gotten the cheaper suites (which were available cause the hotel was almost empty). We felt like caged animals not being able to easily access the beach like the other rooms. In my opinion you should have a key, maybe on the same bracelet or a key that is given to these two villas to control the gate. Totally ridiculous! Very disappointed! SO KEEP IN MIND NEVER RENT VILLA #7 or #8!!
We stayed a week in a villa with our adult family of 6. It was a perfect fit with 3 separate bedrooms and baths. The master suite was luxurious. The rooms were well maintained and the staff were very accomodating (bringing extra towels, etc.) The pool was directly outside our sliding glass door. Bike rentals were easy as well.
We also enjoyed an evening meal at Havanna Jacks with gentle breezes and live music. We look forward to a return in the near future.
