Great location for skiing but some drawbacks.
Pros:

The hotel is very close to the skl lift - so it is genuinely ski in ski out and very convenient. Nice little "village" behind the hotel with two decent coffee shops although no coffee /tea shop available inside the hotel.

Cons:

Very large hotel with somewhat limited amenities.The room was on the small side. The is very little option but to eat in the hotel restauarants the cheapest being the buffet at AUS$ 70 per person for dinner and $35 for breakfast.. The buffet food was mediocre and guests had to queue for up to 20 minutes to get a table. The supposed truck food option behind the hotel is not worthwhile. The ski/boot lockers are tightly spaced.
There is a bus service to the main part of Furano but it is infrequent and very unreliable on the return journey.

The hotel was a very nice place to stay, albeit expensive.
Pros:

The meals were fantastic.

Cons:

The rooms were a bit too warm. Didn't like the layout, with the vanity outside the bathroom. Some electrical sockets on the wall would have been nice. A sheet on the bed and not just a doona would have been appreciated. One was either too hot with the doona or too cold without it.

dinner reservations were really hard if you didn't plan way in advance, and the staff was pretty rigid.
