Stafford's Bay View Inn

Quiet Clean Comfortable large room.Large roomy bath/shower.. Surprised to not have a TV in any of the rooms…only one on main floor lobby or 2nd floor library .

Everything was perfect

Felt comfortable and peaceful. Wonderful view of the bay and the grounds were beautiful.
No television which was no concern but bring a good book with you. Older crowd but very friendly.

We loved the charming hotel, gorgeous views of Little Traverse Bay and courteous staff. Renovations have made this historic landmark quite comfortable. We were able to easily ride our bikes into Petosky and to the State Park. Our room (which faced highway 31) was a bit noisier than expected.

Parking and view

This was our first stay here and it was exactly what we hoped for: a quiet friendly clean place in a walkable area with beautiful views nearby and quick access to Petoskey’s many attractions, including the beautiful Bay View neighborhood and its historic landmarks. I loved the absence of in-room televisions! Restaurant was very nice.

Do not get sucked into having brunch there. They fail to tell you how much it costs. It is not worth the price. $90 for 2 coffees and 2 brunch. $90 for breakfast?!?!?! Never again!

A classic historic inn perfect for relaxing and enjoying Petoskey.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! From when you have entered the attention to detail is exquisite! Staff was welcoming and they made us feel special. Every day from 4-5 they have a cocktail hour, which you get to socialize with the other guests. We enjoyed a breakfast the one morning and the food perfect. Our room was perfect and we received 2 cookies daily, which made our stay even more special. Cookies and coffee! I would definitely book another stay at this property. Thank you so much for making our stay feel perfect!

Staff, parking, elegant

Charming location and friendly staff.

Waitress Romanian Rita was amazing. The landscape and grounds were beautiful with flowers in bloom. The library lounge was convenient for playing cards or catching up on the football games.

My sister and I were there for 3 nights in mid August . We especially enjoyed the 4-5 o’clock happy hour with a free cocktail and either yummy cookies or cheese and crackers. We will return!

Enjoyed our stay! Elevator is tiny and old, pack light. Lovely porch & view.Comfortable beds. Helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful.

Friendly and helpful staff.
It is near the lake with a rocky beach from which I saw the sunset.
The porch and dining room have views of the beautiful garden flowers and the lake. I loved the blue/white room with an alcove that we had.
The place has a lot of charm!
I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was quaint but definitely worn out (rugs, elevator, etc.) Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and quiet (except when it was raining -very noisy)! Dinner was average quality. Grounds were nice.
I realize we were there in high season but very overpriced for what we experienced. Would not stay here again.
