Pros:

sehr gute Lage nicht weit von der Innenstadt Rijekas und gleich neben dem Aufgang zum Stadtviertel bzw. zur Burg Trsat; gutes Frühstücksbuffet; historisches Gebäude

Cons:

es hat teilweise sehr lange gedauert, bis das Wasser in der Dusche warm war (dürfte aber nicht immer gleich sein)

Despite the inconvenience with the shower, I was overall satisfied with my stay at the hotel.
Pros:

Hotel Continental is located not far from the main Rijeka promenade Korzo, which is very convenient. Since I only stayed at the hotel for one night (15/16.2.2026), I can't say much about the services. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of dishes. Since it was raining heavily on Monday, 16.2.2026, I had lunch at the hotel – I got excellent “pljukanci” (traditional Istrian hand-rolled, spindle shapes pasta) in pesto sauce at a very reasonable price.

Cons:

Unfortunately, on Monday morning I could’t take a shower in my bathroom. The shower knob at the faucet was stuck and could’t be moved. Sice there was no tub stopper, I could’t take a bath. Fortunately, I met the housekeeper and a chambermaid in the corridor – they too couldn’t move the shower knob. Then they went to find a tub stopper, alas, with no success. After approx. 10-15 min. the housekeeper told me, that I should take a shower in another room. I’m a frequent traveller and consequently a frequent hotel visitor, but something like this has never happened to me. Later, the receptionist apologised for the inconvenience, which indeed it was.

The staff services and the location

Cons:

The shower is not comfortable. The size of the ropm is like a 3 stars hotel. But okay as services.
The shower box, is really small for senior or elder people
