Lovely decor, really nice public areas and grounds. Did a lovely 4-mile walk from there
Wi-Fi was really poor
A very beautiful hotel with an outstanding suite! The staff are so friendly, we spoke to some of them after dinner, they couldn’t have done more for us, we can’t wait to come back.
I would have loved a swim in a big pool, but loved the outdoor aqua pool which is essentially a very large hot tub.
The staff were all really friendly and professional, especially Peter who was always smiling and always ready to help. True Ambassador of the hotel. Thanks Peter
I would have given it 10/10 had it not been for the very poor mattress in the extra bed. I had read the reviews but didn’t expect it would be quite as bad as the other guests had commented. But sadly it really was very bad and VERY uncomfortable. The management should take note and change those extra bed mattresses
But couldn’t fault the staff - they were all great
It was lovely and clean
Very big lovely lawns
Excellent service
Limited menu choice
Staff were really attentive and the ground floor is well looked after
Significantly overpriced for the room. The suite was extremely dated and not terrible, but needs an upgrade. The light was hanging off the ceiling, furniture dated, stains on the carpet and the spa wasn’t really ‘a spa’ … more a small sauna and a small outdoor pool.
Not a terrible room, but definitely not worth the £300 a night.
N/A
not many staff in the normal working time and many cleaners at the early morning.
Our room looked very tired. Stained carpets, stained walls, very small double bed, frayed lampshade, poor supply of toiletries, good job I took my own, very disappointed.
As above
The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. The service at breakfast was very slow but the food very good.
Location was nice and the setting was beautiful and tranquil
The evening meal was a 1/10.
Me and my colleagues were extremely disappointed to be paying so much for a meal but receiving poor effort and tasting food. The photos give the impression that this is high end dining, it isn’t! The food is served in over complicated and rich sides. The fish batter was anaemic in colour and tasted ‘ok’. Just not what I expected from a high end perceived restaurant.
The jacuzzi was nice. Nice breakfast.
The room furnishings were very old and dated.
The bed was very small, toliet didn't work. Cracks in the sink.
