Pros:

Love this place - easy to see our son next to Hewitt and help him to set up his dorm and good location for coffee and something to eat. Love to stay hotel.

Pros:

Wanted to be close to ISU. The hotel is perfect! It’s also walking distance from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Normal. They comp parking and have a pedway connecting the parking garage to the hotel.

Cons:

The refrigerator in the room never got cold even though it was on the coldest setting. The shower curtain liner was overdue for a change—it was a dirty orange color and had an odor. It’s something one would expect a hotel chain like Marriott to keep up on. They also had a sign in the bathroom saying they would leave your towels if they were hung and only change things left on the floor. (An effort to conserve water and resources which I support.) We hung our towels and left nothing on the floor but found our towels replaced with one less washcloth. It was strange.

A great place to be in Normal!
Pros:

Overall, the customer service was wonderful. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We got to check-in a little early. The hotel is really nice in a great area in the heart of normal. You can find good restaurants, bars and stores nearby. Its right by Illinois State and Amtrak, which is great!

Cons:

The cleanliness of the room is okay. However, you can oy do the best you can in a hotel room. Booking.com definitely overpriced me, which is no fault to the hotel. Overall, im glad we stayed here.

Rooms were dirty. Was first assigned one room but upon arrival at the room there was long hair everywhere all over the floor, sink, even in the bed. I went down to the front desk and they moved me to a new room. Once I got to the new room I found a crusty stain on the fitted sheet and small hairs all over the bed. I called the manager up to see and he told me the sheet would be changed. This was at 5pm. I came back to my room at 8:15pm to find the sheets had not been changed yet. Had to go down to the front desk again! Finally got the sheets changed around 8:30pm. Appears the cleaning crew is not cleaning properly.

Location, location, location!! So close to uptown.. walkable to everything!

Cons:

$8 bucks for a domestic beer .
Left 4 oz water bottle for guests…so small, why bother? It’s a Marriott…for over $200 a night a 12 oz bottle could be passed out. Won’t come back
