The staff were kind.
The whole place was under construction. There was dirt and grime everywhere. The carpet was pulled up in areas and there were no moldings on the floor. Our door did not lock unless someone went outside and pulled up on the handle to make it click. I paid $186.00 a night for 2 rooms, a total of $372.00, I could have gone to motel 6 or super 8 and paid half the price for better quality. I wish they would have offered a discount or told us what to expect. It DID NOT look like the photos!!
The staff was very helpful
It was all good
Location and staff
Was under construction remodeling. Second floor was rough looking with drywall powder and dust on the floor Felt like they are trying to do the whole hotel at once instead of taking it floor by floor and completing one floor at a time. Smell was iffy. Thought the price was high considering the condition of the room Bathroom was remodeled but not finished. Definitely make sure they are done remodeling before you book.
Here's the problem. I do not think they should charge full price for hotel rooms or even rent hotel rooms. The hotel was under construction. The lobby was under construction. My room was unfinished. It was not vacuumed and was not finished being renovated.
We have stayed at the Comfort Suites on Cotner in Lincoln in the past and have always appreciated
it as a clean, comfortable, and dependable choice. However, our recent visit fell well short of
expectations due to an active, full-property renovation that we were given zero advance warning
about prior to arrival.
Upgrading the property is certainly a positive move, but walking straight into active construction,
closed-off zones, and persistent work noise without prior communication made for an off-putting
experience. A brief notice on the booking portal or a pre-arrival notification email would have given
us the option to make an informed decision on whether to stay during ongoing work.
To the hotel’s credit, cleanliness remained solid despite the work, and the staff was friendly and
professional throughout. That said, management really needs to prioritize guest transparency and
notify incoming visitors of major construction projects before they check in.
Good location to variety of eating/shopping/other things.
Middle of renovations, first room shower didn’t work, next room smelled of rotten eggs, then the final room was dirty broken down, and there was left over food in the fridge from the previous occupant.
Nothing at all
Everything
Cleanliness, price was decent. Breakfast was solid.
Construction. Don't rent room so close to construction. I work nights so it was not easy to sleep which is kind of what I was paying for.
Location was perfect
Construction was slightly off putting
Construction work in progress, pool not available.
This was a very unpleasant experience - the lobby was full of pallets with building materials. Wasn't made aware of renovations when I booked. Phone didn't work- lights didn't work-fridge/microwave didn't work together. I asked to speak to mgr 3 times before I was told there is no manager on the weekends. My 3-year-old grandson found tacks/nails sticking out of carpet!!! (see photo below of what he found) Location was great all else not great. I have asked for partial refund and none was made through booking.com. Communication is lacking unfortunately :(
I have been to Lincoln several times for my family and sadly, will never stay here again.
The staff were friendly.
The property was under construction, so for example, there were no baseboards in our room and nothing on the walls. I think it should have been discounted a little as it didn’t seem fully ready for guests.
Pool was not available but advertised it was. TV screen half was not working.
Comfort Suites East is being reconstructed and will become a Springhill Suites by Marriott (in January?). Prime parking spaces were taken up by storage containers, piles of new material and stacks of construction detritus.
The pool was out of order, the laundry room was out of order and there was construction dust. We had two burned out bulbs in our room. (Shouldn't a manager be checking the rooms every once in a while?)
We have been staying at the Comfort Suites since it was new. I loved the sensible layout with tub/shower combination, sofa, easy chair and padded footstool/coffee tables. I don't expect any of that to last and would not stay here again until construction is completed.
The combo tub/shower has been replaced with a large shower with glass doors and sheet metal over the drain that acts as a noise maker. Things may change when construction is completed, but our room had no soap rack, no foot rest for leg shaving, no towel rack, no clothes hooks in the bathroom, no place to store extra towels, no place to store spare toilet paper roll, no place to store spare facial tissue. All that was piled on the counter.
The divider between bed and couch was removed which eliminated any claim to "suite" status. Construction was limited to painting while we were there, may get noisy at other times.
Our room still had an enclosed closet and a standard lockable bathroom door. The new RFID key cards are an improvement over the old magnetic cards. There were NO USB PORTS.
Friendly staff
No baseboards. Hole on the wall. No sheets for the sofa sleeper. Obviously the room was being renovated but not done.
