The staff here were fantastic. Particularly Jon, Zaida, and Dennis. Warm, friendly and helpful.
Location was good. Bed was nice and room was clean. It is clearly an older facility that’s been updated a bit, but some of the accent furniture (desks, nightstands, etc) should probably be replaced.
Overall it was worth the price and I’d stay again, mostly for the excellent staff
We had a wonderful stay!! Thank you Chrissy for your hospitality, your kindness, our emails exchanged so that everything is perfect when we arrive!
This hotel is simply great, the personal service regarding our needs at the top!!
Thanks again Chrissy
Checked in tonight Front Desk Girl is amazing. The staff is amazing. I had called today Friday, March 20 and she answered the phone and she waslovely inviting. I wish more of these hotels had her approach they should give her a raise.
Everything went ok until I realized the hotel had charged me 66 USD for no reason. Room was prepaid by my company. I tried to call them several times, they picked up and then once I exposed the situation, they hung up on me. Happened twice. Tried to call back, sent to voicemail. Sent an email, no response.
All of the above is true.
I stayed here two nights last week.
Pros: Front desk was friendly. Sheets and room appeared reasonably clean.
Everything else was not very good. I have Hilton status, and one of the perks is early check-in; in addition, the charge card I used to book the room allows for early check-in as well as room upgrades, so when I arrived at 11:30 I asked if I could have an early check-in. I made clear the room upgrade was not important; I just wanted to get into my room as soon as possible. They said they were full but would “rush” to get a room ready. Not only was this not accomplished; in fact, the room wasn’t ready until 90 minutes after normal check-in. These things happen so not a big deal if everything else is ok. It wasn't.
Once in the room, I found there was nowhere to sit in the room. I wound up sitting on the bed with my computer hunched over until my back hurt, then moved to sitting on the toilet with the top lid down and using the bathroom counter as a desk.
Only one elevator was operational. I tried to get breakfast and, between waiting for the elevators (25 minutes) and sitting at the counter waiting for someone to come over and even take an order for coffee—which never happened (20 minutes)—I spent 45 minutes to not get breakfast. Something like even acknowledging me with a nod would’ve been fine; I understand people are busy. When I mentioned this to management, the reason given was she was too busy. This was noted but seemed confusing, as while at one point she did have a line, all those people had been served and she had time to sort through receipts, pick up the plate, and have a conversation with the person sitting next to me, amongst other things—so, at least in my mind, plenty of time to say “I will be with you in a minute.”
It just seems there is a complete lack of detail or care put into the whole process of this hotel, which shows up in various ways, like the food service or the fact that there is almost nothing on the walls—just white, or more like sort of tan paint. I have been in public hospitals in developing countries where it appeared more care was taken in room decor.
This would all be fine if this was marketed as a budget, low-end, bare-bones sort of adult hostel. But when it is out forward as a unique, boutique Hilton experience charging what I paid (2 nights was well over 900$ even after they took off fees) for the poor experience, there really is no excuse.
To boot, I have not received any Hilton points, and on the Hilton site it acknowledges my stay and says zero points. Not even going to bother asking for the points, as I’m pretty sure I am done staying in Hiltons. Despite loyalty to Hilton and having various status (currently Gold) over the years, their product and service seem to be getting more expensive and worse quality. There are much, much better options in the 400-600 a night range in Manhattan.
Robbie was absolutely amazing. So kind and accommodating at the front desk..
We had to check in a little early due to my friend not feeling well. They gave us a room and even upgraded us to a better room! It was incredibly nice! Everything was wonderful, Comfortable bed, walk in shower and the staff was AMAZING!
The food in the bar area of the hotel was not great, fries too hard to eat, cinnamon roll completely hollow. The elevators seem to take forever to get to the higher floors when I wanted to go down.
Love the location and the staff were friendly and helpful. Shout out to Chrissy for making my birthday memorable! She went above and beyond. She is the best!
What a cute hidden gem! We visited NYC for Vanessa Williams for my birthday. Distrikt upgraded us due to my diamond status to their top floor and a bigger room. Upon checking in, they pro actively offered a late check out. Chrissy then delivered a beautiful birthday amenity to our room with champagne, chocolates and balloons! She even graciously provided us with some free drink vouchers! We’ll definitely be back because of her! Highly recommended. We’ve been to dozens of NYC hotels and I definitely appreciate the large bathroom vanity.
The location is 10 out of 10 but there were definitely areas lacking….
The smell of weed at the entrance and reception was awful.
The poor staff in reception were freezing with big coats on
The lifts took forever. Timed it one morning and it was 11 minutes wait and then when it stopped it was full!
Also there were stains on the carpet like bleach and peeling wallpaper.
Stayed in many Hilton hotels and this one was not of the same standard.
This hotel was great, it was a 10 minute walk to Times Square and was very ideal. There was a 7/11, a corner shop and a pizza shop at the top of the road where the hotel was and there was a McDonalds a 5 minute walk away. The room was warm and spacious and the bathroom was a good size. The hotel is in a great location with a subway station also at the top of the road. The staff were also always welcoming and helpful.
Overall we really liked this hotel and were lucky enough to have a lovely view from our room!
This hotel was great for our needs. Near to Port Authority so easy for us to get around on the subway. Very close to Times Square without paying Times Square prices. Near to Hell's Kitchen for reasonably priced food. The staff were very very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our 5 night stay.
