Location of course is great since this hotel is located near Times Square and you know exactly what you're getting yourself into. It's across the street from PABT station, and either a short walk or a one-stop subway ride to Penn Station / Moynihan Hall. Times Sq / 42 St subway station is a less than one block walk from the hotel with many lines available.
The hotel does charge some kind of resort fee for about $33 per night per room. It includes a $29 food / beverage credit, and local gym access. We did not use the whole thing, we ended up ordering alcoholic beverages and taking them to our room. If I were to do over, I would have ordered bottled / canned drinks and just saved them unopened for later.
There is an ice water dispenser in the lobby, and capsule coffee machine for free use in the restaurant.
Right now the hotel has a notice of 1 (out of 2) elevators working at a time due to maintenance. The elevator runs at lightning speed, so the wait was really not bad considering the building is about 30 storeys. There were a few moments when both were working too.
Room is in fair condition but clean. There are things like hooks missing, slightly broken shower head, but everything is overall functional. Nice bath / body products in large bottles bolted to the bathroom walls. Bed was comfy. A/C worked well. Only five hotel rooms on our floor so hallway noise was very limited.
This hotel was pricey due to many events during the weekend I came, and I only chose this place because it was "relatively" cheaper than others in the area. This would not be my first hotel choice in Times Square in the future, however my stay this time was decent.

Location is perfect - value against price - friendly staff
Small space
Overall location is center of Manhattan. However street location is not good. Street is dirty and stinks.
Even air freshener at reception is of poor quality
Front desk staff were not clear on mandatory credit. We could not use it on all days. She said it was applicable only once during stay.
Breakfast lady is very rude.
Rooms very small in size but clean.
1 lift did not work. Lot of delays
Room ac is noisy
We had 7th floor room. Very bad view. Street very noisy.
On last day 1 person tried to enter room forcefully and kepr banging our door.
Overall poor experience.
Pls choose elsewhere
NY subway is user friendly. You can travel easily
We had to pay the standard price for our room and 3 nights came to about $1500. VERY overpriced. One elevator didn’t work. Horrible bistro/dark few food options. Breakfast bad. Hotel needs renovation said shabby. Reception staff was really great. Friendly and welcoming
Atenciosamente,
Carla Caroline Nogueira Zilli
Wow we had amazing stay. The reception team were friendly, the rooms are spacious with a complementary fridge and excellent housekeeping . We had a nice view and the hotel is an excellent location for exploring. The restaurant staff were exceptional served a good choice of food with vegan option and was well presented. It was my mum’s birthday, Chrissy had arranged a beautiful birthday surprise with some lovely gifts. Thank you so much Chrissy.
We stayed one week, when we checked out the staff were very helpful, a big shout out to Dennis. He helped store our bags and when our transfer arrived Dennis helped carry our bags to the vehicle.
We would highly recommend this hotel for everything it has to offer. I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for a fantastic holiday and birthday celebration. See you again in the future : )
This is NOT a boutique hotel, I have stayed at Doubletree, HGI and many many hotels in NYC and this is just the same. Its fine. Does the job, no better no worse.
Firstly one elevator working, other out of action since March 30 and not to be repaired until July 30. What that means is chaos at peak periods. Maids stop on evert floor etc.. Had I known I would have booked elsewhere. Second mandatory daily $29 charge which you can reclaim at the sad airport like restaurant coffee bar at rear. This is run by ms Grumpy who only manages a thank you at time of tipping. Other staff are very helpful and friendly.
If you like the crowds and nonsense of Times SQ and the ugliness of the Port Authority Terminal this is your place.
If you want easy in and out go to below Herald Sq or above 66th.Use the subway and the east side is quieter always than the west side.
I was here on a corporate booking so no choice this time.
Great service by Jon and the others who were able to accommodate requests quickly. He was caring and took customer service seriously. The location was very convenient. My only gripe is the elevator issues. Only one elevator bank is working. Overall, I would stay again.
I am typically not a negative review writer and try to give the benefit of the doubt, but there are some things about this hotel on which I must comment.
The location is fair as it pertains to proximity to various sights, but know that it is across from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The area is dirty. We knew the location, and it's not the most scenic of locations, but had to point that out. Every hotel in NYC was fairly expensive, so we did factor cost over location.
The rooms are average. Limited USB ports. In our case, neither the coffee maker nor the refrigerator worked. I made a point of texting the front desk to inform them, and they said they'd send someone up, but that never happened, so we couldn't use either during our two night stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The TV was quirky in that it was hard to get to local channels, but I think the remote was on the fritz. Couldn't connect to Netflix even though it was an app on their TV. Not a big deal, as we weren't in NYC to watch TV.
The staff members were nice enough, but not responsive to requests. Not only did they not send someone up to replace/repair the coffee maker and refrigerator, but there was another scenario that showcases the lack of urgency/responsiveness. My wife fell near the 9/11 Memorial (a complete face plant), and when we got back to the hotel, I requested ice for her swollen eye and face (really bad fall). Be advised there are no ice machines on the floors. After about 30 minutes, I called down to check the status of the ice, and the person working said they would personally bring it up. I had informed them that my wife had fallen and that we desperately needed the ice for swelling. After another 15-20 minutes, nothing. This time, I went down to the front desk and requested it again. With the bar being next to the lobby, I went a asked them for ice, and the bartender immediately provided me with a bucket. The lack of responsiveness in these cases is very disappointing and would be to any customer, not to mention a Hilton Honors Silver member. But I do appreciate the actions of the bartender to get me what I requested in a very timely manner. About 30 minutes after I got the ice from the bartender, someone arrived with another bucket, which obviously wasn't needed at that point.
We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. All in all, I can't really recommend this hotel due to the service flaws I encountered.
First time for me and my person to come to New York . Cozy and quiet hotel. The staff are friendly and the food and drinks are delicious! Thank you Chrissy Dasque for your hospitality and being the “Hostess with mostess”.
Jon and Zaida at the front raised already high bar at Hilton for customer service even higher. Very pleasant, friendly. Rooms are super clean.
Just come back from a few busy days in NYC. Stayed at this hotel on the 31st floor. Brilliant views, room very clean. Was a bit worried about only one lift working but that wasn’t an issue at all. Very helpful staff on reception, in the bar/restaurant area and cleaning lady. We only ate breakfast there on the first day but all the food looked great. Remember to use your $29 dollars allowance a day even if it’s on drinks and snacks for the day/room. Great location, not too close to the busy Times Square but close enough to walk to in 5/10 mins. Subway station at the end of the block. Would definately recommend to anyone.
We love this hotel. This is our second stay. Robbie goes above and beyond for his guests.
