I just checked in to the Distrikt Hotel and I’m just in awe of the wonderful warmth of the staff here. I was upgraded and given some wonderful goodies as a Lifetime Diamond at Hilton. I’ll confess that I didn’t expect such wonderful service in a NYC hotel. Chrissy and her team outdid themselves to make me feel welcome. The view is astounding and the room is oh so comfy. By far the best NYC hotel experience I’ve ever had.
Absolutely superb customer service . The staff here are so friendly and, more importantly, happy which makes all the difference. Great room , really clean and spacious. Just off the main drag of Times Square so near whilst being away from the madness . Highly recommend

Location was nice
I did not at all like that I was charged additionally for the $50 for some amenities upon checking in. I was caught off guard and it was presented as urgent it was no big deal because some if it you can use as a credit at the restaurant. I did not at all like that. And you bartenders personality leaves something to be desired.
The room itself was very cozy and clean. Beds were comfortable. The location was ideal and everywhere was walkable.
Staff was rude when I arrived and spent too much time talking to each other about unrelated issues while I was standing there waiting. The website said they had parking but I was never contacted beforehand that I had to park in a garage a street over. It was difficult to find the location and even harder to go to the garage which I had to pay extra for before it wasn't even affiliated with the hotel (again, the site said they had parking available). The restaurant was abysmal. There was only one staff member (this was not her fault) and she had to take our orders and make our food. The food was bad and took a long time to get made, and they didn't have an item on the menu. The elevator almost broke on my friends, and no free wifi for the absurd price I paid was unacceptable. I had to try four different phone numbers to ask the front desk for an early check-in, which they already approved prior to my stay, but they said they couldn't do it anymore, so we had to wait around for an hour before checking into our room while the staff chatted it up. Overall, service was very poor and the staff unfriendly, and the amenities where NOT worth the price. Will not be staying again.
I planned a day trip to NYC celebrating my 55th birthday by going to a Broadway show and dinner and it turned out to be so much better than I expected, thanks to the staff at this hotel. When checking in Robbi was so amazing, his vibe, his energy and his overall customer service was extremely on point and then when he collaborated with Johnathan and Chrissy it took my birthday experience to another level. Chrissy personally gifted me with so many birthday treats, snacks and gifts and it made my heart smile! Johnathan provided great conversation and took pictures of us, and all together this great team made my birthday even more memorable and special! Overall this staff is Awesome and for this to be my 1st stay at this hotel, I felt like family. Thank you for making my 55th birthday very Ahhhhmazzing! I will definitely be back!

Had a really great 5 night stay here with my family. It’s really close to the main NYC action but not smack in the centre which I liked. Lots of eateries and subway stations nearby. Staff were very welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. Room was nice and clean with modern amenities. Only down side was the elevator which was out of service for 70% our stay.
We liked the location of the property. It was central to what we wanted to do. We walked almost everywhere
Two of the three days we were there, there were elevator issues. One day we waited a long time to get an elevator because they were not working and another day we had to walk down the 12 flights from our room.
This was not our first or last time to stay at the Distrikt Hotel. Every time we are here the staff does a phenomenal job and this time was no exception. When we arrived home we were contacted about items left in our room. Robbi and Jon made sure the items were returned to us easy and effortlessly. Robbi and Jon were friendly and there to help during and after our wonderful stay. Thanks guys have a happy new year!
Good Location
Good food options near by
No view
Lavatory clogged
Rooms were little outdated
No room service
Food options very limited
Fridge uncomfortable
My two adult daughters and myself stayed here for a long weekend in December and we loved it! The location was ideal for us, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were beyond helpful and attentive. We loved the bar/restaurant and all the details like hot apple cider in the lobby, the coffee station, and Christmas music playing in the elevator.
Dennis helped us with our luggage, getting a car to the airport and more! He and DaShanda were standouts!
This hotel was central to so many things to do in NYC. We could walk to most spots on our list. Our room was on the small size but typical for NYC but it was super clean. Front desk staff was awesome.
I stayed at The Distrikt Hotel for four nights in early December 2025, and overall I was very disappointed. I’m a lifelong Hilton guest (“Diamond for Life” Hilton Honors) and I was looking forward to visiting this “Hilton Tapestry” boutique property. I’ve had great experiences with Hilton’s “Canopy” boutique properties, and I had high hopes for Tapestry. If The Distrikt is a good representation of what to expect from Hilton Tapestry, then I won’t be staying at a Tapestry property again unless the price is extremely luring.
The good: The location of The Distrikt is fantastic! It is directly across the street from the Port Authority building, making it extremely easy to navigate public transport. It is just a few short blocks from many Broadway theaters and dozens of great restaurants and cafes. The reception and housekeeping staff are very professional and friendly.
The bad: The hotel is a budget hotel but branded as “boutique” and not priced as a budget hotel (I paid $500+ each night for four nights). The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in my room, the paint was badly chipped in various places, and the linens are budget quality (although the bed was comfortable). In addition to the overall room aesthetic disappointments, one of the two elevators was out of service the entire four days I was there (and for a brief time, both elevators were out of service). The Distrikt website advises that they have an “on-site restaurant”. They don’t. They have a very sad “grab and go” type of space (it appears to be a former storage space).
Bottomline, if The Distrikt was priced as a budget hotel and the website expectations were managed with accurate descriptions and accurate photos, it could be a great stay (location is fantastic). Hilton DoubleTree is directly adjacent to The Distrikt. DoubleTree is a far better value than The Distrikt.
I stayed here for one night. The people were very nice. Beyond what you’d expect. The room was small but very clean. It’s a small hotel, my floor only had 5 rooms. It’s pretty nice and easy to walk to places.
Staff was friendly every time we were around. Great location to see everything. Warm, clean and plenty of room. I would stay here again in a heartbeat when coming back to NYC.
