I really liked the location of this hotel. It’s also a big plus that the hotel has its own parking area nearby—though it’s worth noting that there is a charge for it. I would also like to mention that the main bed and mattress were excellent and very comfortable for sleeping. There is good hot water pressure in the bathroom.
We were unpleasantly disappointed to find that the third sleeping option—a fold-out armchair—was far from ideal and completely unprepared for use as a bed. The bedding was simply left folded up on the chair; it hadn’t been set up, and there was no duvet provided—even though the hotel was well aware that three guests would be checking into the room. It’s surprising that a 4-star hotel room provides only paper cups instead of proper glassware. Not to mention the absence of a kettle or tea. There’s also no shoehorn. It is quite interesting to note that the plumbing system constantly makes strange sounds—it sort of grunts—which is especially noticeable at night. We stayed in room 207. I would like to specifically mention the breakfast service: there were four waiters in the dining area whose primary activity seemed to be preventing guests from sitting at certain tables, claiming that these tables were already set for lunch. We arrived for breakfast at 8:50 AM—breakfast is scheduled to run until 10:00 AM—but, to our great surprise, there was no food left in any of the serving vessels or trays. When I asked for an omelet, the waiter told me that a different colleague was responsible for that. Ultimately, the food containers were only gradually refilled—and that was only after we spoke with the hotel manager—by 9:35 AM, at which point we were already ready to leave. Furthermore, one of the coffee machines was out of order.

Despite the price (which was well outside our typical travel budget), we plan to come right back to this hotel the next time we're in Italy, and try to get the very same room. We were absolutely floored by the view from our private balcony (even better than the excellent view from the restaurant below). The breakfast was marvelous.
Parking is a real challenge given the closure of the village to most cars and the limited view that map applications have regarding gate locations, access restrictions, etc. I'd recommend that you find your way to *any* public parking just outside the village before checking in at the hotel, and then getting as clear an understanding of the garage location and procedure as you can from the desk before moving your car into the garage. Once arriving at the garage, communication with the desk through the speaker at the gate is fraught, so hopefully you won't have multiple cars honking behind you as you try to get them to open the gate. Walking to/from the garage is very easy once you know the way, especially given the tunnel under the main road and elevator.
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights, and absolutely loved it. The hotel itself, room, bar, restaurant, and the view. It was perfect for what our expectations were. We would definitely go back. Best location in Riva Del Gardia!
We requested two separate beds, but instead we were given one king-size bed. After waiting for almost two hours, the staff simply handed us bed linen and expected us to arrange everything ourselves. When we tried to prepare the second bed, we discovered there was no mattress, so it was impossible to make two proper beds. For the amount we paid, this was extremely disappointing and caused us a lot of inconvenience during our stay.
