My husband and I were celebrating 40 years of marriage and booked The San Roque Hotel for our first holiday in Tenerife . From the moment we stepped inside we relaxed into the calm atmosphere. Our room, on the first floor was a lovely space with the bedroom area on a mezzanine level and we were welcomed with a thoughtful bottle of Cava to celebrate our anniversary. The room was both comfortable and quiet, no exterior noises. The daily chamber service was super efficient, even locating a lost earring. Our breakfasts and two evening meals, taken round the open air heated pool, made them extra special. All the staff were friendly and those at reception could not have been more helpful, advising us on the places we visited using the local bus service, arranging a massage session, allowing use of a spare room as we had a late flight home etc, etc.
The hotel is perfectly situated in Garachico (which is beautiful), a very short walk took us to the town square, or sea front,or bus stop, restaurants and shops.
Everything was perfect for us but if you had mobility issues the room we were in would not have been suitable . There were rooms on the ground floor but it is a question I would ask on booking .

Beautiful hotel in historic character building with excellent facilities including a pool, rooftop solarium, guest lounge with drinks service provided, ample buffet breakfast with hot food to order and excellent staff who were efficientand friendly. The duplex room was spacious and so very clean. Our stay was faultless
No kettle in room but that's being picky!

Be careful, some rooms are very small
Het hotel voldeed aan mijn verwachtingen. Het is tamelijk duur om te overnachten, maar het is ook een heel mooi gebouw en goed en comfortabel ingerichte kamers. Mijn kamer was aan de straatkant, maar het was geen drukke straat, soms een wagen die toch 's nachts of heel vroeg 's ochtends eens voorbijkwam maar het was niet echt storend.
Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, perfect ontbijt!
Zou nog wel wat langer kunnen blijven hebben, maar had slechts voor 2 nachten geboekt en denk ook dat dit het maximum was dat ik kon boeken, het was hoogseizoen. Restaurant geeft heel lekker eten.
