La predisposición del personal de atención
El edificio está falto de mantenimiento. Ademas, nostocó una habitación pegada a una obra en construcción, no se podía abrir la ventana que había obreros parados en la misma línea. Tuvimos que pedir cambio. Muy caro para la habitación original, mejor la segunda. El hotel necesita una remodelación, quedó antiguo.

The location near Avenida Balboa was close to everywhere I wanted to be. Comfortable room and really friendly staff.
Some members of the staff — especially the women — genuinely tried to help despite very difficult working conditions.
This was an extremely disappointing experience. The hotel was dirty and very noisy. Cleaning was done as late as 6 PM, which is unacceptable for a property claiming this standard. The hotel is clearly undergoing heavy renovation, with constant construction noise throughout the day — at times I could barely hear the receptionist speaking.
The attitude of some staff members was also problematic; one male receptionist was particularly indifferent and unhelpful. Although the team seemed generally well-intentioned, they were clearly overwhelmed, likely due to poor management.
I had booked 4–5 months in advance and specifically requested a quiet, high-floor room. Upon arrival, I was simply told this could not be accommodated — no real solution offered.
I was given a paid upgrade, but the entire process was handled so poorly that it only added to the frustration. Even with a small discount, it felt completely unjustified.
Overall, this hotel does not come close to a 5-star standard — it felt more like a 2-star experience. For a Marriott property, this was frankly shocking.
I almost didn’t bother writing a review, as I’d rather forget the experience entirely — but it was, without exaggeration, a total disaster.
The whole experience was excellent. There were no negative issues. The suite was very clean and kept that way every day. The food at the hotel was good, the breakfast was excellent. The drinks were very enjoyable. Finally, at the front desk, Yeny, I believe was her name. She took care of everything. Her assistance was crucial to the whole visit. She translated when necessary and assured that all was in order during our stay. She made the trip PERFECT!

We stayed only 2 nights. We arrived in the room after a journey to San Blas.
The first thing was to go to the shower (people coming from there will understand).
No shower gel. No soap. The gel recipient was missing and not replaced . Ask for it. Ask for hand soap. Second thing: doing the shower, getting out and .. no towels..have to call and ask for. But no nice experience getting out from shower and improvise I until the towel came.
Second day: going to visit the city. Coming back late (about 3.30-4 PM) . No cleaning in the room. Have to call again the receptionist.
For a 5 stars hotel this is a negative surprise. The above things were fixed quickly, but again.... is 5 stars expectations......
Staff from reception and breakfast were very friendly.
El personal fue muy gentil y amable, en especial Marco y Dayana del restaurante, quienes brindaron un excelente servicio. El desayuno es muy bueno y variado. También nos gustó mucho el apertivo del club lounge. Además, fue un gran detalle que nos asignaran una habitación con vista al mar.
Linda suite con cama muy cómoda y tanto las sábanas como las toallas estaban limpias.
Lamentablemente, la limpieza no estuvo a la altura. Al ingresar a la suite encontramos cabello en el piso y papel cerca del jacuzzi que permaneció allí durante los tres días de nuestra estadía.
El bote de basura junto al refrigerador no fue vaciado en una ocasión, y la alfombra en el pasillo exterior de la suite siempre tenía basura.
También me hubiera gustado utilizar el jacuzzi, pero las boquillas de salida del agua estaban sucias, lo que no daba confianza.
