En general todo. Servicio, limpieza, ubicación excelentes
We stayed only 2 nights. We arrived in the room after a journey to San Blas.
The first thing was to go to the shower (people coming from there will understand).
No shower gel. No soap. The gel recipient was missing and not replaced . Ask for it. Ask for hand soap. Second thing: doing the shower, getting out and .. no towels..have to call and ask for. But no nice experience getting out from shower and improvise I until the towel came.
Second day: going to visit the city. Coming back late (about 3.30-4 PM) . No cleaning in the room. Have to call again the receptionist.
For a 5 stars hotel this is a negative surprise. The above things were fixed quickly, but again.... is 5 stars expectations......
Staff from reception and breakfast were very friendly.
Ok
Ok
It is close to restaurants.
Breakfast and service in general is just to slow. They might me understaffed, they need to improve in order to give a 5 star experience.
Nice place, very friendly staff
Nothing particular
The one thing that stood out the most at Le Meridien was the staff. I found the service there exceptional. I stayed in a gorgeous suite with wall to ceiling windows overlooking the water. Breakfast and dinner there were excellent. Shout out to Dayana and Joseph, wait staff, who made my stay and made me feel special. I arrived early in the day and the front desk lady was able to get me into my room early.
Le Meridien is well located to walk on the trails there as well as pick up local transportation/Ubers/day trips.
Downsides are the traffic and construction noise when at the pool.
Our 5 night stay at Le Meridien was nice. The hotel is very centrally located, the rooms were nice and clean, and everything had a touch of "french class". Would stay again.
However, guests should be aware of the following annoyances which came as a surprise. The highly advertised and pictured restaurant and lounge Saril, is closed for renovation as well as half of the lobby. Breakfast and lunch was still served in a large conference room but choices were limited since there was no kitchen on that floor. Dinner was in a separate and different floor conference room and was a bit small. Although the hotel was doing their best given the circumstances, it should have been noted when we made the reservations and paid extra for a food package. There was no mention of the conditions when we made the reservations. The second big surprise was that there was a city wide shutdown of water Friday evening and all day Saturday. We found out later that this planned shutdown was advertised in advance by the city so that residents and hotels could plan for it with water tanks to flush toilets and take showers. Le Meridien apparently did not get the "memo". I fault management for not preparing, not even their own employees knew. Thus, mass confusion at the front desk with no explanation as to why no water for 24 hours. We eventually went to the pool to gather water in a garbage can so that we could at least flush our toilet! The hotel can not be faulted for the city wide shutdown of water but it says something about the management that there was no preparation for it. We talked with other guests at other hotels and they were aware it was coming and they had limited water that the hotel supplied from backup sources.
Bedroom, breakfast and the staff are very good.
The price is high for what it offers.
Bussiness lounge is barely enough to work a couple hours.
Breakfast has many options, but sometimes you get stuck thinking that 'something is missing'. Some of them you need to order.
We spent one night at the hotel before continuing on to travel in Panama. The location overlooking the Bay of Panama was lovely. We didn't try the restaurant but it looked really nice. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in, so the hotel stored our luggage while we toured the old city. To our delight we discovered we were upgraded to a suite upon our return to the hotel. The staff were all very helpful and gracious. We appreciated the complimentary bottles of water.
El desayuno y todo muy bien
