Nice hotel but loud party
Pros:

In general, a very nicely decorated hotel and room, clean and new swimming pool area, very nice and tasty restaurant and breakfast was great. Very beautiful grounds, however it is not possible to walk there because of golf players, but we did walk a bit in the evening, and there is also a very nice Tailgate park nearby.

Cons:

The wedding in the hotel continued till 1 am, and, possibly till around 3-4 am - some banging on the doors, breaking glass, stomping on the stairs and banging doors. We were not informed about this event in advance. Completely destroyed sleep and, as a consequence, next day. Zero sound isolation (old wooden door and window not sound proof at all).
We were given 50 percent refund after asking for it, though it did take some effort, back and forth with booking.com and hotel, and a couple of weeks time chasing for it. Obviously hotel administration is aware of the issue but it is probably cheaper to refund those who complain than refrain from holding weddings and selling rooms to other guests at the same time. I found this situation rather unacceptable for a hotel which charges over £200 per night.

Stayed in lodge with some friends for peaceful break. It was so peaceful and lovely to have our selfcatering and lovely to have nice clean, & few complimentary tea coffee milk pouches to start off, upon arrival in our lodge

Cons:

The bed was two singles pushed together with just a sheet over so was quite uncomfortable to sleep on with my partner. Also spa access wasn’t available which was a huge disappointment as that’s the sole reason we booked.

Pros:

Very high standard of finishes in lodge, spotless. Lovely size. Staff very friendly & helpful

Cons:

Over by the lake there is a sewerage system & the smell is really bad & it takes away from the beauty of it & therefore you can't stay at it for any length which is a shame

Beautiful surroundings, quiet rooms that felt very private, and a good atmosphere.
Pros:

Views across the golf course and greens, quiet, large rooms, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was good, and the restaurant was pleasant in the evenings too.

Cons:

The double bed was actually two divan beds, so quite uncomfortable for a couple and a little disappointing considering the cost of the room. But the pillows were good, and everything was clean.

Pros:

The stay had a few positive aspects, but overall it was not a pleasant experience. The breakfast was very poor and essentially inedible, which was quite disappointing.

The room itself felt old and had an unpleasant smell, making it uncomfortable to stay in.

On a more positive note, the spa area was okay, and there was a very cute cat at the reception, which was a nice touch.
