Good value for money, great leisure facilities, rooms are fairly average, restaurant/bar areas a little disappointin
Pros:

Good leisure facilities, pleasant surroundings and reasonably priced.

Cons:

Rooms showing their age, small tv with no ‘smart’ options, restaurant lacked atmosphere, breakfast was nice enough but incredibly slow as most of the ‘buffet’ items were empty on arrival and took a while to be refilled which was disappointing.

Pros:

The cottage was really spacious and beds were super comfy. Staff were attentive and responded well to any requests. Great to have a cess to the pool and spa!

Cons:

We requested the beds to be made up as singles as we were friends sharing but they were all kings instead. The kitchen had some equipment but had to request baking trays as there wasn't much to cook with.

Look elsewhere it’s substandard
Pros:

Location and staff

Cons:

It is dated and dirty. No food service after 8 30 pm. I could only get a packet of crisps! Staff particularly Kat are amazing.

Pros:

The staff were friendly. I slept well. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

My room was tired, cold and old looking. It was like stepping into the 90s. Dated interiors, small TV and a dirty kettle.

Spa could do with updating / beautiful views
Pros:

I liked the dining experience in the evening and the serving staff are lovely

Cons:

The spa facilities need updating especially with a competitor not far away from them. Too crowded to use the spa facilities

Pros:

Gym was fantastic. Very impressive.
View of golf course was nice.
Balcony areas were tidy .

Cons:

Swimming pool cooler than usual. Was told by regulars there was a problem with boilers a few weeks before my stay.
Swimming area needs some tlc.
Creaky floorboards.
Pool and bar area was closed due to storing old gym equipment.
Long wait to be served in restaurant seemed understaffed.
Televisions could do with upgrade in room smart TV ect with media Netflix ect to modernise rooms. No fridges in superior suite.
No conditioner in bath area.

I would always want to play their golf courses but I would look for alternative accommodation
Pros:

Room clean and bed comfortable
Staff pleasant
Good breakfast

Cons:

The shower broke on my second day which i reported to the cleaner. She reported it to the maintenance department while i was stood in front of her
Nobody came to fix it that day
The following day i reported it to reception and again nobody came to fix it
I have completed St Mellion's own survey outlining the above - no reply
I have followed the survey up with a letter confirming the above and expressing my disappointment at their lack of response - still no reply
