Excellent.
Pros:

Lovely views over the golf course . Great gym facilities.

Cons:

Breakfast was average and the chef managed to overcook the poached eggs and undercook the porridge.

Pros:

A relaxed stay with no pressure. Very nice surroundings and everyone was friendly, both staff and other guests.

Cons:

Not a dislike, though at times the bar staff were not keeping on top of replacements such as glasses for water, breakfast items etc.

The perfect spa weekend
Pros:

I really enjoyed the spa area with the pool, sauna and hot tub, the gym was very interactive and fun and I loved the house that we got.

Cons:

I didn't really like that the parking didn't have enough space for us to park our car especially around after lunch time when everyone is at the pool.

St Mellion offered an excellent base for us to stay while touring and visiting nearby friends.
Pros:

Room was spacious, clean , good bed etc. Absolutely brilliant that windows opened to let in fresh air! Breakfast - there was plenty of choice and food was well cooked and displayed. Breakfast staff particularly helpful. Swimming pool excellent.

Cons:

It would have been good to have a walk-in shower and my family member could not access bath. I should have asked for an accessible room but had not thought about this beforehand.

It was ok because we had a very short stay, but I would not recommend it for more than one night
Pros:

The rooms were clean, the shower was good and the bed was comfy

Cons:

The rooms and public areas are in dire need of a refurbishment. very dated decor, everything was worn and tired. The air conditioning in our room did not work.
The lighting was particularly poor - it was better suited to an office environment

Poor start, but a lovely stay on the whole.
Pros:

The cottage was wonderful, beautifully laid out with everything you could need (even tea & coffee)

Cons:

Communications among departments and staff needs to be reviewed. Staff conduct in breakfast service needs to be monitored. Sadly we had a bad experience here that could have easily been avoided and was dealt with very poorly.

Pros:

The hotel is located off a roundabout on the A388 and as such easy to find. Staff were polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, overlooking the golf course, with free in room Wi-Fi. The food was good in the evening. Breakfast from 07.00am, was buffet style. Checking out was easy. I would highly recommend The St Melion Estate and would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

Wi-fi is not secure and the buffet breakfast could have been hotter.

Pros:

Most things

Cons:

Breakfast items ran out and were not replaced - one listed item was not available on either day - my wife did point that out to someone who appeared to be in charge and clearly hadn’t checked. One evening we ordered 2 items to share and the sweet arrived first which indicated lack of attention to detail.
