The Elements Oceanfront & Beachside Condo Hotel

Great place to stay!! I look forward to staying again!!

We checked in late which took a while but overall was a nice experience

We loved our stay at the Elements! The pool was incredible and very large. Private beach right across the street. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our condo was absolutely beautiful with a patio and ocean view! It’s in such a great location, nice and quiet but just a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue. We could walk everywhere. Highly recommend!

Safe neighbourhood and great location for walking, restaurants and 5th Avenue.
Unfortunately, our unit was dirty, run down, shabby and poorly stocked.

The hotel is very pretty and the location is pretty nice but I think the pent house should be cleaner. Bathrooms were very dirty, towels were all stained, floors were very dirty. There was a jacuzzi but it looked like it has not been cleaned in months. I would stay again but I really hope they take better care in cleaning because it’s a beautiful apartment. Oh and there was no hot water during our stay and I did let Miguel know about it.

The air conditioning in our unit did not work properly. One of the bedrooms was warm the entire stay, it was very uncomfortable and was never fixed. I did not receive an ocean view room as I requested and paid for either.

Meh… Master bedroom is a loft with two double beds… felt like it was an episode of leave it to beaver with my wife and I sleeping in separate beds lol.. have fun with that. Hot tub disgusting, couldn’t use it. The small room with the king bed had the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever had to sleep in. Pull out couch quality at best. Washing machine was broken and made a horrible noise when we attempted to use. They came and tried to fix but it only got worse. We checked out at 11am this morning but the property manager ( clearly clueless about our reservation ) is still sending me updates about the washer even though we’ve been gone for 5 hours… No extra trash bags so our trash built up like crazy, no recycling options either… Beach was in bad shape through no fault of the resort, we were there only days after Hurricane Beryl made landfall. Listen, we had a fine time… but there were tons of issues. We tried this as an alternative to being at an all-inclusive resort, never again.

Our stay at the condo hotel was sufficiently pleasant overall. The unit itself was a highlight: comfortable, spacious, and surprisingly well-equipped with everything we needed. It felt more like staying in a well-appointed home than a typical rental.

However, the complex left something to be desired in terms of amenities. With only one bar/restaurant by the beach, the options for on-site dining and entertainment were quite limited. The front desk staff, in particular, were notably unhelpful and seemed indifferent to the concept of hospitality. This was disappointing, especially since we had not been to the area before and could have used some guidance and recommendations.

Additionally, the listing on Expedia did not clearly indicate that this was a condo with no hotel services. While this was manageable, a bit more service and support would have enhanced our experience, especially for first-time visitors unfamiliar with the area.

In summary, this place is great if you are completely self-sufficient and enjoy exploring on your own. But if you prefer some level of service and assistance, this might not be the best choice.

The condo was beautiful! Amazing views, very nice furnishings, awesome pool and beach setup. Our host, Miguel, was a great communicator and made sure we had everything we needed at any time. Excellent experience in Playa del Carmen.

Property not well kept, room had major issues of AC leaking into one bathroom. Advised it would be fixed and cleaned but it wasnt.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Elements. The condo was perfect for our family of 4 to have separate spaces after spending all day together, and a full kitchen to cook meals and save some money! The pool is absolutely huge and fantastic. The beach club was also wonderful to have across the road. We had a great stay!

Great location. Away from the main party areas but close enough to get there walking or a short taxi or drive. Awesome spot, would return.

NEVER AGAIN!! Getting a reservation in this place. To start off reception guy “Fernando “ was asking not only for our ids, but my kid’s id’s or passports even though they were minors why? The plumbing was BAD I.e. toilets were spewing after first use, handwashing sink dripping, 2nd floor toilet handle broke the sliding door locks were broken tape was the used to keep them locked supposedly. There was no telephone in reservation & the WI-FI in condo did not work so I had to go to lobby to ask for their Wi-Fi so I could call Expedia to help me cancel reservation stay and book my next day flight because I could not spend the night with my family & kids here. I brought the issue to reception and they were trying to get ahold of the condo owner and they (lobby personnel) also were getting frustrated with owner and his attitude as they were explaining my situation. As we were about to leave the hotel the same night I asked lobby to request the shuttle that brought us to hotel since we paid for round trip and the guy Fernando again was giving my wife an attitude because we were telling him to call our shuttle then he refused so we walked out of hotel and asked some locals for their phone to call for a taxi to airport. Once I was at airport the reservation owner tried to call me or give me another reservation, after all the issues we had experienced in one night was enough for one day since we had reservation for 10 days we were already exhausted and disappointed & wanted to go home.

Great lobby, location, pool, and staff. The property manager was excellent. However, the overall condition of the unit was disappointing. It needs some work to be considered anything more than 3 stars. Multiple water leaks from ceilings and windows, and the patio furniture and grills were falling apart/unusable.

Overall we enjoyed the stay, and it has potential, but its not worth the money as it is right now.

The space itself was amazing—clean, good air conditioning, attentive staff, beautiful pool. Would absolutely stay here again and bring some friends for a relaxing vacation.
