Being underground was cooler than the extreme heat outside
The air circulation in our room was really ineffective so it was very stuffy and hard to sleep.
Location
Ver quiet and dark - great for sleeping
Loved the underground walkway, was so nice to have pool, cafe/restaurant and pokies all within the same place
Perfect spot to stay x
The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and is located a short 2 minute walk to the best cafe in Outback SA - Downunder Gallery and Cafe.
The shower, while having good pressure and temperature, was a little small - only big enough for one person at a time.
Beds are very comfortable.
Good shower.
Very friendly staff
Not the room we saw on the photos, it’s look like a cheap motel
Was a cool place to stay. Interesting walls and ceiling. Felt like we were totalling underground.
We'd been on the road for hours & hours and was looking forward to a good rest. Got to the hotel - was very impressed with the size and being dug out of rock was unbelievable.
Girl at the front desk was excellent and was so helpful.
Liked everything.
It was a great experience
The pool and felt safe
Stayed here as the sister hotel I originally booked (opal Inn) looked like it housed homeless people .
We then requested to stay at sister hotel Desert Cave but was offered no compensation .
Booked at the Desert Cave and the room we were given was dirty, damp smelly mouldy carpet / and rotten food left in the refrigerator. The tiles on the staircase were broken and a huge trip risk . When we complained about the state of the room and the unsafe conditions we were offered a suitable ground floor room that suddenly only after complaining was available.
