Cool room built into the rock, good locations and handy from Greyhound bus stop.
No reception on overnight therefore unable to contact anyone overnight. There was a number to call but I called 20+ times and no answer.
Didn't stay long enough.
Nothing
Location was nice in middle of town and close to things. Had a pool, and laundry and underground museum , cafe
Bathroom wasn’t too clean of debris , some hair and stuff on floor….underground room was really muggy/musty…. Had a fan on the wall which helped but never went away
A real underground experience. Neat room. Somewhat dated but that just added to the vibe. Staff were responsive and happy to help.

Good location
Would not recommend staying here at all.
We stayed in an underground room for one night. Check in took 30 minutes, mainly due to the staff member continuing to serve other people before me despite me standing right there. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn’t just serving them because they are men and I’m a woman but honestly at this point not sure!
We went to try and extend our stay for one extra night (because we wanted to stay longer in Coober Pedy, not because we wanted to stay at this hotel) and the man at reception AGAIN served other men as I stood right there, answered the phone whilst I was stood right there and then quoted me a price for the room which was higher than the price on their own website and booking.com which made no sense! We ended up booking a much cheaper motel down the street which was much nicer!
We stayed in an underground room which was covered in large bugs all along the hallway leading to the room and so whenever you opened the door they all ran in. We found bugs on our bed throughout our stay. The room was very disappointing for the price paid - no aircon, no wifi or service, bathroom was very old fashioned, tv tiny and unable to play even a 10 minute video.
We went for a swim in the pool which was also covered in these large bugs and had clearly not been filtered in a while.
We went for a drink at the underground bar in the hotel and then tried to return to our room but our key got stuck and came out crooked. Bar staff assured us this happens all the time due to the dust and we were given a replacement key. Then on check out the next day, we were charged $50 for a key replacement despite the key being faulty when given to us. We tried to resolve this directly with the reception staff who said they would contact us but of course have not.
Staff very helpfull
