Whitsunday Apartments

Hotel was booked by travel agent so wasn’t what I was told.
The front desk staff were particularly unhelpful on arrival. Telling us needed book restaraunts 24 hours ahead abd should have brought food from the mainland as the 1 supermarket had low stock was not a great start.
However, this proved incorrect as we had no problems with meals.
Rooms super big and spacious.
Lovely views and big balcony.
Free sunbeds on the beach.
Own wifi which was very good. Maintenance staff and cleaning staff very friendly.
I do think it lacks a bar. The coffee cart only open a few hours in the morning and buying drinks at the reception was not appealing.
I would go again but be better prepared.

We have just had an amazing stay here. The views over the bay were amazing. It was very quiet around the pool unlike other hotels in the resort.
The staff are all polite and the place is really clean.
Loved how we could just eat in if we wanted to and have a leisurely breakfast on the balcony instead of being on a timetable
Tips
I would recommend booking a buggy in advance to get around the island. The bus is good but you’re then restricted to bus times if you don’t.
One tree hill is a good vantage point for sunset but gets super busy so get there early.
Glass bottom boat tour was a bit lacklustre.
Supermarket shuts really early and it’s the only place to get groceries so I would make it a property

Had an absolute ripper of a stay at Whitsunday Apartments! The whole place is brilliant, really well set up and super comfortable. The location can’t be beaten either – waking up to those views is something special.
But honestly, what made this trip memorable was the team. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Special shout-out to Zuri, who was genuinely fantastic. Always had a smile, sorted out anything we asked for without any fuss, and just made us feel really welcome. Felt like staying with friends rather than at a rental, you know?
The apartment itself is great – clean, modern, and everything you could want. Only thing I’d mention is the windows could use better sound insulation. There’s a bit of noise coming through from outside, especially in the morning when things start to pick up. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s worth knowing if you’re a light sleeper. A bit of earplugs and you’re sorted though.
Would definitely book here again. Cheers to the team for making it such a good experience!

Noisy due to drilling. Nice view and location. Unit was dirty when I arrived but this was rectified. I was not told about the drilling in advance or compensated.

Room had a beautiful view overlooking the beach and bay. Nice outdoor patio. Room was large and comfortable. One downside is we couldn't keep patio doors open because then birds would fly in. Easy to get to from airport with shuttle bus and to get around island with a buggy rental. Provided towels, which was very nice as well.

Restaurants were a close walking distance by the wallabies.

By far the biggest asset is the million dollar view from the apartments. It took our breath away when we entered our upper floor apartment for the first time. I imagine that the view from the lower floors, while different, would be very good, as well. Our apartment was very spacious and clean, although somewhat dated. The furnishings were practical but not luxurious. The sofas in the lounge area were a weird construction that, I’m guessing, were made so that they could also serve as additional bedding for family groups. As a result, they weren’t comfortable to actually sit on.

The kitchen has basic equipment and, with a small supermarket near-by, self catering would be possible. We enjoyed several self-catered breakfasts on our balcony enjoying the incredible view.

Note that only minimal housekeeping services are provided. I’m not sure that any actual cleaning is done. We received clean linens after 3 days of use and the bins are emptied daily.

The property is well-located with easy access to restaurants, the beach, resort facilities, walking tracks and the marina area for day trips to the reef and Whitehaven Beach.

Great apartment with amazing view. The pool and spa were beautiful and weren't as busy as others. The furniture is a bit outdated and the pillows were uncomfortable.

This is our second time staying. We like the convenience of having a kitchen and being right across from the beach. Handy shuttles in to town. Cafe and bar right across the road. We would’ve liked two beach towels for our stay, as you only get one thin one for 4 days, and no extra blankets in the room. It was chilly and reception had already closed. Early check out but change facilities were hot, cramped and humid with no mirrors in the bathroom to freshen up...could be upgraded.

Fantastic view from apartment. Great location for everything Hamilton Island has to offer. Good size accommodation.

Highly recommend for all aspects! Central, great views, dining options all around.

WIFI was very poor and had to rely on phone's 5 G coverage and hotspotting. This was a surprise given the lovely facility and island setting.

We were allocated a room on the 12th floor and the view was amazing!

The"wow" factor when you open the door tells you that you are in for a great holiday here! Be aware that there is no restaurant, but since we prefer to self cater, that was not a problem for us. Our biggest problem was remembering to keep the doors shut to avoid an invasion of the over friendly cockatoos!

The view was breathtaking! Well equipped apartment. Busses pulled up in front so very easy to get around for free. Pool and hot tub very nice. Loved the wallabees and cockateels. Kitchen needed some oven mitts and a baking sheet but otherwise good! Could not open the window in the bedroom or bathroom so it was stuffy air. There was a fair bit of construction going on at one wnd of the beach and tractors going back and forth all day, could have done without that. Lovely island stay.

Great location and easy walk to pool beaches and dining options. Whitsunday Apartment reception was excellent for helpful customer service.

Everything was good. But, if there is a laundry machine at the apartments, that would be great.
