This rooms are very dated and old.Carpets very old and worn thin at some places,paint peeling off the walls and ceiling.Showers old and grubby.TV was broken and only replaced after numerous request.On a lighter note,the resturant and bar were good and staff very friendly.However the weekend we stayed,they were very busy and appeared to be short staffed.

The good: Breakfast with a mountain view was a lovely experience, very central / easy walk to the slopes and back. Accommodating with luggage after check out. Somewhere secure(ish) to store gear. Room was clean.

The bad: rooms needs updating / maintenance - carpet in the rooms is old, the bathroom light kept strobing and turning itself off then back on, water was inconsistent in the shower (at times scalding hot then cold). You can hear conversations in other rooms (we luckily had quiet neighbours).

Also note there is no lift and no assistance to carry luggage up or down the stairs, which was fine for us but might not be ok for others.

Back-packers compact quality for 4 star prices. Seriously in need of maintenance and updating. Old and cheap fittings and furnishings. Very basic breakfast that wasn't topped up. No parking or lifts. Lots of steep and uneven stairs and no help offered.

Lovely stay. Was a little disappointed that the restaurant and bar were not open but understand it was off season. Also understood per ad there was parking on site but had to park in public parking some distance away, difficult when I was very sore from hiking. Staff were very friendly and appreciatef room upgrade .

Great location. Clean rooms. Friendly staff and great breakfasts. An airconditioner was the only thing lacking (we visited in summer)

Friendly, multitasking staff. Rooms would benefit from better ventilation. Overall a nice property in need of a little TLC and a bit pricey.

We had a great stay and would recommend--the only worry was almost dangerously unpredictable hot/cold water temperature shifts in the shower. Could be bad for children or elders who cannot dodge fast enough.

We booked family room, perfect for our purposes. The manager was very informative, 5 stars to the staff. Only suggestion maybe additional variety of dishes for breakfast. and a few Asian meals in the bar. overall excellent place
