Good stay
The property is in Harare City, but almost feels like in the country becasue of the lovely grounds. The staff were helpful and the food was good. The room comfortable. The shower wasn't 100% consistant with its temperature, but worked ok.
Great hotel fabulous staff
I paid my bills on the Expedia platform only to get to the property and be told that breakfast wasn’t included

We loved our stay at Cresta. It is a beautiful property with very nice rooms and friendly staff. We had 6 large pieces of luggage that fit comfortably and we still had plenty of space to move about.

Okay. Good for business
Having stayed at this property many times in the past, I know how long of a walk it can be to some of the rooms. I currently have a foot injury and requested a room close to the lobby, even communicating with the hotel who responded “well noted”. I do understand not all requests can be accommodated, however, I am literally in the very last room on the property. There is not a single room further away from the lobby than my room. End of the line out here.
Then, once I’m in my room, I noticed urine droplets on the toilet seat and that the bathroom counter had a few wayward clippings from a man’s grooming session on the bathroom counter. The shower is moldy, and after what was admittedly, incredibly strong rainstorm, several areas of the hotel flooded with water. Staff worked to dry them, but many areas needing significant attention with a wet vac, went untouched.
If I had been staying here more than 24 hours, I would’ve definitely said something to management, but being a solo female traveler, sometimes it’s just smarter to pull out your disinfecting wipes then bring attention to yourself.
I booked two double beds for my family with garden view to my surprise when they got there they were offered one double bed which they refused coz I told them what I booked . Then they were offered a room with two twin beds they had no choice but to take it since this hotel had no rooms with double beds but online through Expedia they have a nice and clear picture of a room that has double beds with a garden view . So my problem is I paid more for a room that was not even available yet my family stayed in a cheaper room . I called the hotel but nothing was done . Overall the hotel is just ok not booking in the future .
My stay was relaxing! The pool area was very nice. I enjoyed the food options at the Chatteres and Cool Beans cafe. Thank you Darlington, Shakespeare, Agile ,Simba and Tawanda for your wonderful service. My room was very clean thanks to Jane. The front desk staff was lovely. Thank you Takudzwa for working your magic to extend my reservation. Thanks to Rubi ,Melody and all.
I am grateful to the young lady who arranged my haircut. I look forward to staying again when I return to Harare.
