The staff at le petit hotel Saint-Paul was amazing - especially the host I met when I first arrived at the hotel - seemed to be the manager, but I did not get her name :) - she helped me with the room and accommodations. I had a one night stay there, the room was lovely, and will be returning on my next stay in Old Montreal.
Wow! What an incredible and magical experience for my Winter Holiday! The hotel was the ultimate boutique experience— charming, immaculate , well- curated and the most comfortable mattress I have ever experienced! A city oasis! Lovely boutique- style breakfasts and complimentary tea and coffee lattes throughout the day were so thoughtful and generous! All staff were welcoming and very cheerful. I would especially like to commend Matthew, Front Office Reception Representative. Matthew is truly a “specialist” in hotel management hospitality curating the customer experience from end to end. I arrived on a Delta standby ticket with no plan or itinerary. Matthew displayed an exceptional helpful disposition and service orientation. He went the
“ extra mile” of architecting the ultimate Canadian experience — restaurant recommendations, transportation services, spa reservations, researching and helping to assist with other hotels on my journey to Quebec City and alerting me to a cancellation enabling me to return to the fully committed Le Petit Hotel on the last evening of my trip. Matthew is truly an ambassador for your brand promise. An exceptional customer
experience beyond measure!
Thank you and Bravo!

I really enjoyed my stay at Le Petit! The hotel’s location in the heart of beautiful Old Montreal is perfect, and the room was cozy and comfortable, and the shower was nice, too:)
This was my first time visiting Montreal and my first stay at a boutique hotel, and the warmth and enthusiasm of the staff truly made me feel at home. A special shout-out to Matthieu and Fanny for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and sweet demeanours - thank you for making my stay even more memorable:)
Amazing stay on the cobble stone street! This quaint and cozy hotel is everything we could want: from nice breakfasts and unlimited coffee & tea in the lobby — included in the price of the stay —- to Le Labo toiletries. We’ll definitely be back.
This has been one of our favorite hotels that we have ever been to. My fiancé took me to Montreal to propose and picked this beautiful hotel for us. From the moment we checked in we were met with the best hospitality from everyone especially Anthony and Matthieu. They were very very welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the absolute best coffees & cappuccinos! They also had fresh baked goods every single morning. The hotel rooms were also beautiful and the cleaning service was immaculate. My fiance even was able to order a bottle of champagne for us. The location of the hotel was also perfect with lots to do that was walking distance so we were able to leave our car with the hotels valet service for the long weekend. Overall anyone would be lucky to stay at Le Petit hotel!! It’s the best!!
We loved our snowy stay at Le Petit Hotel! Our room was cozy, clean, and quiet. The staff were very friendly. We appreciated the easy access to delicious coffee at the lobby café. Le Petit is located near some amazing restaurants–be sure to check out Hayat!
My husband and I had a truly wonderful time at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was absolutely beautiful — clean, stylish, and very comfortable. We both slept incredibly well, which isn’t always the case when traveling.
A special mention goes to the coffee — it was excellent, which is a rare and very pleasant surprise in most hotels! Little details like that made our stay even better.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily return. Highly recommended!
Amazing service. Kind and friendly staff. Wonderful coffee and breakfast. Bed was so comfortable. Location was so great. Close to everything
We enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Hotel. The rooms were well designed and the hotel is in a great location. At the time of our visit, the city was constructing its roads in front of the hotel. You could hear the construction from our room. Hopefully this will be over very soon. It did not happen at night. Nice continental breakfast with coffee drinks available for guests. 10 minute walk to metro and nice restaurants nearby. Would recommend.
This hotel has an excellent location in the heart of old Montreal. Within walking distance to everything you need. The breakfast was included but we skipped and where instead at a nearby third wave coffee shop as the on site cafe looked to be not too good for coffee
I do not recommend this hotel or its sister properties. Both locations currently have construction directly in front, unclear of end date.
I first stayed at the Rue St-Paul location and was given a room directly connected to the front desk and kitchen area. You can hear every conversation, which went on until about 11:30 p.m. I finally called to complain, but was still woken up at 5 a.m. by staff banging dishes and prepping breakfast.
When I asked to be moved, they couldn’t upgrade me because of the rate I paid — $1,000 for three nights through Booking.com — even though I was told all other rooms were larger. Instead, they suggested moving me to their sister property on Rue Notre-Dame. I specifically asked for a quiet room, but was placed in one facing the street where loud music plays all night (especially on weekends). The walls are paper thin — you can hear everything from neighboring rooms and footsteps from above, which is quite unpleasant when guests are walking around in heels.
Breakfast is truly first come, first served and doesn’t seem to be refilled once items run out. The Rue St-Paul location also seemed understaffed — dirty dishes were left stacked, and staff struggled to keep up with guests’ requests.
Overall, aside from the location, my stay at both properties was a major disappointment.
Loved the hotel, staff and location, but realize there is serious street work in process now. That does distract and cause inconvenience…challenged travelers would need help with bags from taxi to entrance. Cruisers with many bags will have some difficulties.
The the service provided by Laurence was wonderful, couldn’t believe she stayed on the phone with us and helped navigate to the hotel that had construction near by. It’s rare to have this type of service from a young individual. Hotel was quaint and close to everything
This hotel was completely the best choice in Old Montreal. The oldest hotel on the oldest street? Hooray! The rooms had exposed rock wall, looking lovely and ancient, the shower, with multiple heads, was fun. The continental breakfast was just fine, and if there were croissants left, we were free to take them all day. The included coffee, including all the fancy types, was a nice touch. A valet met our car, helped us with our luggage and then parked our vehicle. Umbrellas were at the door, in case we needed to borrow one, and the hotel was right in the middle of all the things we wanted to see. Were we to go back to Montreal, I would want to stay no place else.
Very nice boutique hotel in great location. Rooms are clean and unique with brock walls. Robes provided are wonderful. Free coffee and pastries throughout the day. Overall, really fantastic.
Beautiful clean rooms and very nice staff
Grate , convenience hotel
Great small hotel, clean and comfortable. Best shower ever!
Very helpful staff. Excellent coffee options. Room was spacious, appeared to have been recently updated, and very clean.
Service was excellent especially from front desk upon arrival.
