we were so grossed out by what was on our chair, it took away from the comfortability.
Pros:

We had a king suite, we loved the space it provided
Great area for snacks

Cons:

I have a photo if requested. Our chair in our room had a terrible stain on it. I'd feel uncomfortable putting into writing what it looked like. Staff had a sign at front desk that read along the lines of "be back soon helping a guest". She walked in through the main entrance. My 17 yr old son said," wow mom do you smell the weed? " She reeked of marijuana. She asked me my name, handed me my room key and walked away. Didn't tell us where the elevators were, didn't even say our room number to us, no "here's where breakfast is, there's the pool' etc.

We showed up late 10pm. There was a long line checking in with one worker (she was very overwhelmed). She checked in the first couple at the desk and they immediately came back down to say there was someone in their room. And then another man came down and said his shower would not shut off. We stayed another 30 minutes (45 total) and we were still fourth in line. We ended up leaving. I will never “try” and stay at a Hampton ever again. And I still had to pay for it…non-refundable. Refunding my stay would be a start to making it right. Very disappointed.

It was okay beds were hard as a rock. Room next to us was loud the first night until after 1am. Mind you I’m currently 6

Excellent care. Very attentive. Would recommend and stay again!
Pros:

Love where it’s at and the restaurants and coffee places by it!!

Cons:

The pool was a bit on the colder side, but that could just be personal preference. The coffee and paper towels weren’t stocked in the room. Had to ask for extra garbage bags. Other than that, everything else was great.

Couldn’t have been better!
Pros:

Everything was wonderful. Amazing continental breakfast.
Large room.
Comfortable bed.
Large TV.
Pool was clean.
Staff very helpful and accommodating.
I’d like to move in for good!

Cons:

Can’t think of anything with exception of the weather.

I’m ready to sell my home and move into the Hampton inn and suites in Marshalltown IA
Pros:

Everything from staff to facilities was wonderful!
Large clean room.
Super comfortable bed.
Quality pillows.
Large clean bathroom and very nice shower.
Pool was clean.

Cons:

There was nothing.
Not one negative thing I can think of.

Cons:

Checked in at 11 pm. The desk clerk was unable to give us keys as the machine would not work. Had to take us to our room. The area by the 1st floor elevator smells. We stayed here a few years ago and it was the same.

The little snack we usually find at a Hampton Inn was not there. Instead it was some backyard apples
Pros:

Bathroom toilet set was broken and hard to sit on. Grout was coming out of tile and sticking to my feet.

I really will need to rethink booking a room here for the next time we are in Marshalltown.

It was easy to check in.

Cons:

My husband took a shower; the water did not drain from the tub. There was no shampoo jell in the shower. The bathroom handle was broken. Grout was missing in the floor. The counter by my husband's bed was not clean. I am worried that my credit card will get charged for the plumbing issue.


I paid 210.00 dollars for this....

When I reported this to the front desk, the response was that he was supposed to jiggle the drain because of how the pipes were installed. The housekeeping issues- trouble with keeping and getting reliable staff.

And you charged me 210 for this....

Terrible place to stay and a blight on the name Hilton/Hampton!
Pros:

Terrible place to stay!!! Not clean, staff are unconcerned about customer satisfaction. Rooms heating/cooling systems do not work properly and are very outdated noisy if the blower does work. Mold is visible in bathrooms. Paint and wallpaper is peeling throughout the building. Walls are so thin I could clearly hear the conversation in the next room including their sound machine during the night and their alarm system. Main lobby women's bathroom was permanently closed leaving only a men's public restroom. Ice machine did not work. Overly expensive. Due to all these issues, I was afraid to eat the free breakfast for fear of contamination. Do not stay here!! Needs to be closed down.
