Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern . Tolle Lage ein besonders Dankeschön für ein Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit direktem poolzugang was wirklich toll war. Frühstück war auch sehr gut abwechslungsreich. Einziger Kritikpunkt wie von vielen hier angemerkt die Kaffeeversorgung beim Frühstück. Wäre eigentlich sehr einfach zu beheben weil doch sehr oft kritisiert. Ingesamt ein tolles und empfehlenswertes Hotel. In einem wunderschön gepflegten Garten.
Leider im Moment mit störender Baustelle aber die ist Ja irgendwann Geschichte. Danke für einen entspannten und sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Travaux incessants et bruyants tous les jours
plage polluée et tres mal entretenue , odeurs nauséabondes, nous obligeant a quitter l hotel presque tous les jours des le matin pour des plages plus propres et plus calmes ( cout supplémentaire)pas suffisamment de parasols pour s'abriter du soleil
Serviettes de bains élimées et trouées inadmissible d'un hotel de cette categorie
Hebergement et chambres corrects , personnel tres aimable
Restaurant offres tres limitées et sans interet
je pourrai vous adresser des photos des travaux ,de la plage , des serviettes

Nice rooms and friendly staff but noisy due to construction work and swimming pool area too crowded

Nice and spacious rooms. Very nice entrance building. The staff was also very friendly and helpful

Cons:

We checked out after one night instead of staying for the longer visit we had planned.

We were really looking forward to a relaxing stay at The Lamai, but ongoing construction next to the pool made that impossible. Before booking a couple of weeks ago, we noticed reviews mentioning construction and contacted the hotel in advance to ask about potential noise. We were reassured that it would not affect our stay. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

On our first morning, we went to the pool for a swim and found that all the sunbeds were already claimed, even though no guests were using them. While the hotel has a sign about reserving beds, it was not enforced. In addition, the noise from the nearby construction was constant and disruptive, which made it difficult to relax — not what you expect when planning a quiet beach holiday

חלק מהמבנים קצת מיושנים
יש חדרים שבחלקם המקלחת אינה מקורה כלל- חשוב לציין זאת בעת ההזמנה.
מי שמזמין חדר רגיל - ולא חדר עם בריכה חשוב לשים לב.

Overpriced resort with unhappy staff
Pros:

You can tell it was built originally to a decent spec. The rooms are a good size.

Cons:

Had a very bad experience with the staff, who seem like they don’t want to be there. Ultimately probably a management issue. Some very unfortunate and chaotic service issues. Also the rooms are tired and level of maintenance not great.

Good, but not great.
Pros:

The hotel itself is beautiful and immaculately serviced and maintained, and the staff were all so friendly and attentive. Lovely breakfast. Restaurant ok but there's so much good food in Lamai, we only used it once in a 10 day stay.

Cons:

It's just unacceptable for hotels in this league not to have sufficient sunbeds for guests wanting to use the pool. It drives the even worse behaviour of guests bagging beds with towels at breakfast and making the shortage even worse. There's not even a beach alternative as what little sand there is disappears completely when the tide comes in. A real shame, as the rest of the place is very comfortable and relaxing.

Ein wunderschöner und erholsamer Aufenthalt in einem tollen Strandhotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal.
Pros:

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im The Lamai Samui. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist traumhaft und perfekt zum Entspannen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und komfortabel, und das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Cons:

Der einzige kleine Punkt ist, dass beim Frühstück etwas mehr Auswahl schön gewesen wäre und der Frühstücksraum etwas zu klein war, um es wirklich perfekt zu machen.
