The hotel is definitely worth its value. The view is spectacular, especially the sunset time. Make sure you book the Fairmont Gold room and enjoy the sunset at the Fairmont Lounge, you won’t regret it. The breakfast is also up to standard. The Front office team is so kind and supportive. Overall, a good standard hotel you should visit.
It was an amazing trip. I did not expect so much. Everyone is so nice and very polite.
You can get here by driving from Shanghai or Suzhou downtown very quickly or by public transport. The hotel can pick you up around.
Alice helped me with everything and her colleague Paula treated me the afternoon tea, enjoyed.
Outdoor pool is nice, gym is good equipped
First time being on a Fairmont and it left a very good impression. Service was excellent. We had some issues with he aircon noise level and they solved it ASAP. We had a birthday, and they came up with a delicious cake for us. Rooms were spacious, very clean, the bed comfortable. The adjacent park was a delight for the kids: karting, kayaking, fishing and other activities.
I did jog around the hotel and the place is so nice. We did bike with kids as well and it is quite a nice activity to do. They have so many choices that can accommodate anyone (tandem, mountain bike for kids, carriage for baby, etc.).
The food at the chinese restaurant, Cantonese style, was delicious. Breakfast was good with lot of choices.
The outdoor swimming pool was a blast.
Will definitely try another Fairmont and plan another stay in this one at a different time of the year.
Our expectations to a Fairmont hotel were all met. More charging outlets near the bed would be nice. One downside was that the activities were cancelled and facilities were closed on the next day due to health measure.
Nice trip at Fairmont, the service are good, especially Sammi, Michelle, and Elan, they are all kind, the room has a great view of lake and you can also sit in the Fairmont gold, enjoy the delicious meals and the lake view. recommand to stay.
It’s a great experience for a holiday at the end of Chinese New Year, especially the considerate service serve of Michelle. My child is having afternoon nap, so I can’t move out for the afternoon tea, she send it to our room without door bell, just a soft knock. Summi give us a great amount of happy hour. Truly happy hour.
Fairmont Yangcheng Lake has always been one of our favourite getaways for staycations. The rooms are meticulously presented, a team of very friendly staff who are always eager help and will try their best accommodate any special request - a special mention: the Front Office Team and Yi Feng Court team.
Dinner at Yi Feng Court met expectations as usual - Food was superb and staff was attentive.
We have previously stayed at the hotel on several occasions last year and have absolutely enjoyed our stays there with our dog. It was our preferred hotel as the hotel provides accommodation for pets in their Pet Hotel and the beautiful park nearby provides a great space for dogs. Subsequently, we could also bring our dog along at the outdoor terrace of the Essence Cafe. However, to my surprise, as I was seated for Breakfast during my recent visit, I was informed by the staff that I was not allowed to bring the dog even at the Outdoor Area of the Essence Cafe. It's understandable that pets are not allowed inside the hotel but not even in the Outdoor terrace, that I truly can't comprehend.
In line with Fairmont's Canine Ambassador program, the hotel too has a dog under it's care but unfortunately on this visit, I notice that the condition of the dog seems have deteriorated and pretty much neglected. Truly sad........ hopefully the hotel management will do more to ensure that dog is well taken care of.
It's great to be able to have getaways with our dog but if this is the direction Fairmont Yangcheng Lake is going, it looks like we will have to find a new destination for our staycations.........
We spent Mid-Autumn Festival at the hotel. A lot of activities were organised these days as the light show, performances and hairy crab opening season. Besides we rented the bikes and walked In the neighbouring beautiful parks and organic farm. The hotel has very good facilities. The outside pool is rather big and clean, the fitness club is very well equipped. I also liked the Chinese restaurant where we ate hairy crabs. Restaurant employee helped us to cut the crab since we did not know how to do it. Especially I would like to mention the hotel staff, they were extremely friendly and helpful! Dear Bella, Gracia, Sammi and Miya, thank you for supporting us during these days). There are many other things to be mentioned as the spacious room, perfect cleanness, wonderful lake view, outstanding executive floor with cozy afternoon tea and tasty happy hours . And very french croissants might be the special reason to come back).
I had another wonderful and relaxing "after-work-stay" at FYL.
The service in the FGL was performed by Michelle alone this time. She did a great job with passion, dedication and very skillful. It's always a pleasure to see young talent improving and growing up.
Thanks dear Michelle, you made my stay relaxing and memorable.

The room was very well prepared, clean and orderly with all amenities in the right place.
I am always amazed to find my personalized bathrobe hanging properly in the bathroom.

The Willow Stream spa is great and reasonably priced. Apri who is from Bali did all 5 of my services-2 spa packages-and was very professional, kind and considerate with them all. Her English is very good, too, which is important for me.
The front desk staff are also very solicitous snd speak excellent English. All employees try very hard to meet their guests’ needs.
Fairmont really needs to invest in renovating this hotel! The hotel rooms definitely need to be updated. The common areas could also use improvement. If I were them, I’d use the downtime from the pandemic to get that done!

It always leaves us recharged after staycation stay at Fairmont Yangchenghu. Staff are attentive without being intrusive. And hotel constantly comes out with new activities for variety. They even gave a lovely cake for my daughter's birthday.

Beautiful lake facing hotel, comfortable big rooms, first class service, Good food and drinks,Plenty to explore around- Organic vegetable & grains farm, honeybee farm, animals Farm, ancient water villages, great bike track (bike rental at hotel).
