Fabulous stay in a stunning hotel
Pros:

Stunning property and grounds. It is absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. The outdoor spa is fantastic

Expensive for average service
Pros:

Wanted to charge an extra £150 to change from cottage breakfast to breakfast within the hotel.

Cons:

Cottage wasn't the cleanest and staff weren't helpful with a few queries we had, very dismissive.

We hadn’t booked dinner and we were told to go into Kelso! Ended up in the fine dining which was a little mire than we could eat. Very good and service excellent. However what hotel puts their outside guests first?

Wonderful except for the heat in the bedroom
Pros:

The spa was amazing, the food was incredible, the staff were all lovely.

Cons:

Our room was in the old part of the hotel. The room was lovely but far too hot. There was no aircon and the window was stuck closed. It even melted the birthday cake they had left in the room. They did bring us an extra fan but the temperature didn't go down from 25 degrees and it wasn't even hot outside.

Lovely
Pros:

We thought the hotel was stunning and really enjoyed the spa facilities, these are different to any hotel we’ve been to as the pool is outdoor compared to your usual indoor spa/pool area. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and cannot fault that at all.

Cons:

We had a bad experience for dinner, it took a long time to get our order, asking us for water first and then coming to take our meal order and hadn’t taken a proper drinks order. The food was okay for the price, I wasn’t blown away by this. It would be nice to have some more options or more on your plate as it was very small portions. We then went to the cocktail bar which in fairness was busy but the layout felt wrong as so many people were wanting to come in but getting turned away due to not having enough seats. Again we got told to sit and someone would take our drinks order and this took a long time. When we went to check out, someone or a staff member had got a room number wrong and tried to charge us £168 for drinks, when we only had 2 drinks in the bar. It was swiftly taken off but my heart was in mouth thinking I was going to need to fight my case and things like this should not happen

Exquisite stay in a unique location, simply wonderful!!
Pros:

Everything, Schloss Roxburghe is stunning set in a beautiful location with great amenities, lovely staff, superb food and very comfy rooms. It’s so good we came a second time and plan a third visit!!

Played the golf course which was simply stunning and my partner had a SPA treatment which she wished had never ended.

It’s so relaxing and the staff are so helpful and approachable and everything is no trouble to them.

I could stay in that pool all day and then retire to the whiskey bar.

Amazing and thanks for another great stay!
