Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel

Breakfast not included and the limited menu was crazy expensive.

I book a reservation in January for March and when I got there the hotel was temporary closed. I didn’t get any notice and they did not refund me. I called them and emailed them, they did not get back to me.

Let me start with how amazing the ladies were at check in. The lady with the braids that has the gold twine woven in was so kind and helpful even going outside in the freezing cold to see if I was parked in an okay spot to not get towed. Then getting me into a space on property. They are really close to the F train which got us wherever we needed to go.

The room was clean and functional (what more do you need) and the price was perfectly reasonable.

The breakfast was good (it was little cut sausage link things (looked like mini kielbasa or something of that nature) instead of the standard continental patties).

A short walk to subway to Manhattan.

The room was very nice and big enough for one person. Two probably would’ve been fine too. TV was fine but I didn’t use it very much.

Female front desk at check-in was unusually helpful and friendly. Staff inn the morning were efficient but not as warm.

I thought there was no hot water in the bathtub until I tried setting it to cold then I got plenty of hot water. Guests in room 511 should be advised of this until it gets fixed.

heat was way too noisy in my room (511). I ended up turning it off!and was warm enough the second night after I got the extra blanket. first night I had to choose between being cold or kept awake by the noisy heater. I would not return here in months warm enough that I expect to have to use the air conditioning because of the fear that I would be kept up all night by the noise or will be too hot if I turned it off.

it’s great that they provide a refrigerator at no extra cost in the room.

Most but not all staff were wearing masks. I don’t know what hotel policy is or what the law requires here but I would prefer seeing all staff wearing masks. I made a point of wearing one whenever I was near anyone.

pillows are unusually small and very soft. If you prefer otherwise, bring your own. mattress was OK but softer than the very firm mattress I’m used to at home.

Overall, I would be happy to return when the weather is cold enough that I would not have to run the air conditioner due to concerns over its noise. I can make do without heat as long as I get an extra blanket but when you want to risk having to be without air conditioning overnight.

The service staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in good condition, and very clean. Great place!

Disappointed that I couldn't get my money back from literally a 1 night stay due to a family emergency. I understand policies but have some grace. Hotels.com tried to help me but they didnt have any luck dealing with Best Western

Convenient to the queen bridge Metro station making it easy to get into Manhattan very easy

To be honest, I know it was only 2 nights, but the room was so small for 2 double beds that you could barely walk to the bathroom, we had to put the bed right up against the window. And the bed was strange, the middle was lower, leaving it in a position that was not very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, great for those who will walk a lot. And what I was most upset about was the parking, which on the site doesn't say anything about having to reserve in advance, and after 8 hours on the road, it was frustrating to have to leave in the middle of the night to look for parking outside the hotel. But I would not say that the hotel is bad, it just needs a little more attention to the guests and parking information to avoid this situation.
