Xandari Harbour Fort Kochi

Beautiful property with comfortable room. Staff were all very helpful - especially Sangeetha who sorted out our train tickets which would not have been possible for us on our own. They treat you like family! Sorry to be missing the Christmas celebrations but the decorations were charming!

The harbor views were amazing. There was 24 hour work going on in the harbor right by the hotel windows. The first night was quiet but second night there was loud machinery sound all night. When I complained the manager moved me to a suite in a quieter part of the building the next day. Restaurant and room service very very slow. I paid for breakfast for three days if my stay and on last day of my stay I had to check out early. I was not provided with a breakfast to go. Most hotels in this price range provide.

When arriving through the big red door of the Xandari Harbour hotel you are welcomed with the beautiful view of the garden, pool and harbour - a little bit of paradise after the crazy hustle from the ferry and streets of Kochi.

Edwin greeted us with cold towels and ginger welcome drinks in test tubes... this is a boutique hotel and has a modern cool vibe going on within the walls of this former warehouse. Check in was efficient and we were shown to our harbour view room which was large and spotlessly clean, and included a verandah over the harbour (100% worth paying the small amount extra to get these rooms).

The design is very cool - minimalist furniture, polished concrete floors, large waterfall showers/wet rooms, beautiful tile work, soft linens and cosy towels.

The hotel arranged a local guide, Usha, who was excellent. Fort Kochi is small and the walking tour took only 3 hours but covered the main sights and provided some history and local sights you wouldn’t know about without a guide.

We ate a few times at the restaurant - food was freshly made and the Kerala specials were a lush change from our northern Indian food the week before. All the restaurant staff were so friendly and went the extra mile to provide great service.

The only small area of improvement for me is the pool/lounge area which needs a bit of a clean up as it’s looking a bit worn out. However it didn’t stop us enjoying the pool and loungers.

Looking forward to returning again!

Super Essen im Restaurant, super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Zimmer sind geräumig und mit dem Sichtbeton wunderschön (unbedingt Zimmer mit Kanalsicht buchen!)

Grandiose Ausicht, vermutlich die beste in ganz Kochi. Riesiges Zimmer, guter Service, Morgenbuffet ein wenig klein geraten, lag vermutlich an der "Lowseason".

I book back to back at Xandari because the view was just superb.

Friendly, organised staff. Breakfast also excellent - albeit a little slow in terms of getting food. Service was excellent however - very attentive.

My wife and I spent two nights at Xandari Harbour Hotel following our houseboat tour and Ayurveda resort stay in Kerala. While all rooms naturally did not have a sea view, the premises provided plenty of places in which to relax and watch the harbor activities. The staff wass extremely attentive, friendly and very eager to please. The breakfast, which was included in the price of the room, was excellent and dining al fresca was refreshing. The infinity pool was also very pleasant. Our room was very well designed and nicely appointed with plenty of space to store clothes and other travel items. The lavatory contained a commode along with a great shower while teeth brushing, etc. was done in a separate, shielded area that was located behind the bed and adjacent to the storage closets.

On both occasions I have stayed here now my experience from check-in to check-out has been wonderful. Each time the staff made us feel very welcome and went out of there way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel rooms were perfect being both very clean and extremely comfortable as well as very spacious. The location of the hotel set on the backwaters was beautiful, a little oasis. The location was also ideal for exploring Fort Cochin as everything was within easy walking distance. This allowed us an opportunity to get a real feel for Fort Cochin.

Fantastic hotel! Super super clean. LOVE the restaurant! Choose the breakfast package as they let you order as much as you want on the menu for breakfast all inclusive, no additional charges. Amazing design....very modern with plantation style nods to the past. Definitely would reccomend!

Excellent hotel. Good quality rooms, friendly staff, well located. A cut above most hotels in India.

We stayed 2 nights just to have a different experience. View of the harbour is lovely but too much of water hyacinth floating around. The location of the reception is just wrong; first impression is not very professional as there is no proper lobby. Room is modern and clean with good layout, however, TV is missing. Location is too close to the mosque and area is not friendly enough to be walking about on foot.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Highly recommended from all fronts. Staff was welcoming, helpful- hotel is just breathtaking, rooms are beautiful.

We loved this place so much that we had to book one extra night here. The experience was just wonderful from start to finish.
On arrival we got fresh juice and towels to dry off the hands when we checked in.
Room deco, with a blend of decorative tiles, concrete, warm wood details and the view to the very nice garden and water front is understated luxury and tasteful.
We also ate several of our meals here. Exquisite taste, delicate presentation and good value for money.
Warm and friendly staff.
For us Norwegians with a long journey behind us this was the best possible way to start out vacation - highly recommended!!!

Wonderful stay! We were lucky that a mistake led to an upgrade - the type of room we had booked ended up being unavailable, so we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the water and hotel pool. The hotel staff were extremely sweet and accommodating, they didn't even make a big deal about the fact that we were being upgraded - they only told us when we were brought to the room and I realized it was much larger than what we had booked! The breakfast was also wonderful, and ended up being included in the price of the room to my surprise, even though we had it as room service. We will definitely stay here again!

arrived 5am in the morning very tired after flight from uk .staff very helpfull and let us have our room straight away which was great .after asleep then a nice breakfast we wanted to relax by the pool but there was only two sun loungers and there were four of us .
hotel was good value for money for a typical basic indian hotel,near the jew centre and was easy to get to every where .staff very helpful
