And whom was very helpful to extend my stay at the same time. Thanks
Location wise is very convenient with a big shopping mall attached to it and it's only 15 minutes away from either high speed train station or 5 minutes from the Hong Kong Shenzhen border. Best value hotel in the area and it's a Grand Hyatt. Rooms are big and clean with modern amenities even though the hotel is not brand new. A solid choice for travelers, and families. There's a very good buffet breakfast that serves many choices of cuisines. Service is very good.
The room was big and clean. Swimming pool was good and the food was great.
They have a children’s play area in the restaurant but it is not open at breakfast. There were lots of kids wanting to use it and being told no.
Notices between booking.com and the Hyatt don’t seem to go through. I messaged 3 times before our stay and didn’t get a response. I requested a cot before the stay and then had to ask another 3 times to 3 different people before we were given one. This was very annoying as at this point it was past my son’s bedtime. I had amended the dates of our stay on booking.com but again the hotel had no record of this.
Good overall experience. The check-in took needlessly long though. I didn't get the point of using the World of Hyatt check-in app and using my phone as an access key when I still needed to line up. This time our room was smaller and the bath tub (centerpiece) was smaller too. I personally think their bed and pillows are super comfy!
An unexpected find in Luohu district next to one of the MixC shopping malls. The lobby is located on the 33rd floor and the rooms below. We wished we had a rolling mountain view of neighboring Hong Kong but instead looked onto the mall, residential buildings, and construction. Thankfully, that construction wasn't too noisy on the weekend. However, I am not sure what there is to do on that end of Luohu.
The master bathroom was equipped with a TOTO bidet toilet which was so very nice. Everything was high-end including a Dyson hair dryer. Very nice Grand Hyatt.

Wonderful rooms and very comfortable, modern and clean as expected of hyatt.
Only slight incovenience is the need to switch lifts to get from ground floor to hotel lifts.
Old luxury, i dont recommend to stay, unless it discount or something. Club house also old looking and feeling.
Club house was closed at 10 pm, so if you not will be on time, you can visit( waste of money)
My stay at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen was unfortunately disappointing throughout.
Check-in:
The negative experience started upon arrival: long queues and an extremely slow check-in process. Although we only arrived around 5:30 PM, our room was still not ready, and we had to wait another 1.5 hours before we could access it.
Room (706):
The room was apparently a former smoking room – the smell is still clearly embedded in the walls and very unpleasant. In addition, you are woken up from 6 AM onwards by significant construction noise, even on weekends.
The only positive aspect is that the room itself was clean, although the interior feels somewhat dated overall.
Breakfast / Lounge:
The breakfast buffet is completely overcrowded.
On Saturday at 9:30 AM, the waiting time was around 45 minutes.
Switching to the lounge offered little relief – it was equally crowded, and despite the staff’s great efforts, they couldn’t keep up.
On Sunday, we went to breakfast early at 8:15 AM and just managed to get a table. When leaving at 9:15 AM, the queue was even longer than the day before.
While the quality and selection of the food are good, the atmosphere, due to noise and the sheer number of people, feels more like a cafeteria than a hotel of this category.
Location:
The nearest subway station is about a 15-minute walk away, accessible through the adjacent mall – at least sheltered and air-conditioned.
Conclusion:
Overall, a disappointing stay with significant organizational and quality shortcomings. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel in this price range.
The Grand Hyatt Shenzen is the place to stay. 5 stars all the way around. It is by far the best hotel in Asia. Jasmine Cui and her staff are rockstars!

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent and connection to shopping areas is the best. Thank you
I’ve had the privilege of staying at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen on and off since 2011. Over the past 15 years, I’ve seen leadership teams, receptionists, and front-desk colleagues change, yet the commitment to service excellence has remained remarkably consistent—and continues to improve.
What stands out is the genuine care for guests and the professionalism of the entire operation. It’s no surprise that many Apple employees confidently recommend Grand Hyatt Shenzhen to visiting partners and colleagues.
