Beautiful view!
Very nice, great location- feels very secluded even though town is not far.
Food made me sick.
Good Customer Service and excellent location.Nice Stay amongst the tea gardens
No alcohol for a resort puzzling. Bistro catering for local needs. Menu.in room with 10 pages including western foods but will only serve to the room - no table to eat of. Did agree to serve szechuan chicken in bistro which turned out to be a bowl of chilli rice. No point having such a menu if your kitchen staff don't know how to prepare the dishes. Bistro often crowded, no seats available lots of kids running around. Rooms very large but tired and worn. Road into resort the worst I've traveled on. Whose responsible for its maintenance? If you don't wish to cater for overseas/western visitors maybe your website should say so
- clean rooms
- friendly staff
- beautifully planned resort.
- rooms have nice view
This hotel was good overall- astounding view, and the facilities are quite nice on the whole. The staff were nice, though one gave me the wrong information about the local buses. Similarly, the rooms were quite beautiful, though one morning I didn't have hot water. Despite these small inconveniences though, I thought it was a lovely place and would recommend it to others.
Excellent location and superb serservice. It's a bit off road and the approach road isn't that great but once you are in the property you forget everything. It's right in the middle of tea plantation ... Green is the colour all around. There is a lil tree house to have a casual drink as well which we loved.
Hotel is nice but, it is unbeatable with breathtaking view that it offers. Try to stay on the fifth floor.
Few pointers :
1. There are no shops nearby but thats ok.
2. Room service on a-la-carte needs to improve. Hotel doesn't serve a-la-carte after 7ish.
3. Dinner is only buffet however, you can request hotel to serve dishes in buffet on a-la-carte basis in your room. Prices are very reasonable.
Very poor service as staff did not understand Hindi or English. Cups and glasses were dirty and the stuff still in there from the previous user. Bathroom had green and pink stuff in the bottles but could not tell which one was shower gel and shampoo so did not use any.
For evening meal we ordered soup when asked for bread, reply was which country are you from. All food was very salty so did not eat any. To make it even bad was the fish we ordered. When I lifted one piece to put it on my plate a long inch insect crawled out of it. It was disgusting site and we left the dinner table. Next day breakfast was not very good and toasts were like card boards. Internet was not good either. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Please take this hotel of your list.
Stayed two nights, great room, staff. Location amazing but not close to town. Only complaint would be buffet is almost entirely Indian food... And doesn't change much.
Im pretty much satisfied with the resort and its service though its located far away from munnar town ( around 3 kms) and its difficult to get there as it was off road. But the view from hotel was just breathtaking! :)
We really enjoyed the Tea Valley Resort - gorgeous views from our balcony of tea planatations and mountains. Great food. Reasonable cost. Staff organised a guide to take us on a 4-hour hike across the mountains, which was fascinating and enjoyable. Friendly, helpful staff. We just loved this place and would go back.
Honestly , i will not advise anybody to stay there , first its veryyyy far from other sight scene in Munnar , and approach road is soooo BAD that you don't feel like going anywhere after reaching here . Once you are in Hotel you are stuck in there , there is no activity in and around of it , their recreational center has hardly anything to keep yourself busy .In room service was really poor , and in bathroom no hot water available in there . Not a single TV channel was in Hindi or English , Finally they entertain only locals not any other part of India . Will never think about going there again .
The location of the hotel is great,in the middle of the tea plantations. Also the staff is very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately ,the first night we stayed in one of the regular rooms and the bed was in terrible shape, also the room was pretty old.The staff immediately took note and upgraded us to a nicer room for the rest of the stay but beds seem to be a problem through the resort. More recreational activities would be required for families as there is only carrom and TT available in the rec room. Overall experience was good ;but I don't think I would have been happy if the room had not been upgraded .
Resort is quite remote from main road, accessible via a dangerous one lane road. Room is OK, internet in only at lobby; TV cable channels are very limited, food quality and service below par. Due to limited staff, all service quality is bad. It is not worth the price we paid.
Best part- great view from room overlooking tea valley.
The view from the resort was really great. Room was also spacious, clean and comfy. The only problem we faced was transport between the city centre & the resort. Having own transport is best, otherwise auto/taxi have to be hired. The hotel staff arranged the auto whenever we requested. Overall, I was satisfied with the place.
We had a pleasant stay. Tea Valley resort is very peaceful and the staff were very helpful. Food was good but the service was very slow. The main downside is the road leading to the resort. It is very rough and dangerous. But all in all a nice place for a peaceful and relaxing stay with a beautiful view!
I don't know about others expectations but I compromised the service because of the location and views... The location nd view from room no 101 is superb but the service is not very good if u r a frequent guest of fivestars... No food served in Room fir dinner... U have to have it at the hotel restaurant ... That to u can't order you have to have the buffet ... which may cost you two-times the dinner for two... First night I had it because of no choice... Second night I bought it from the city..,,room cleaning is also poor... The sence of cleanliness is poor you have to suggest them about that... But they are responsive to ur suggestion... Over all it was a good experience for me and my wife... Bit not excellent ...
We had a good time relaxing amongst the tea plantation listening to constant melodious songs of the various birds of the area. Well presented, but a little difficult to access. The rooms were spacious with a great balcony view where one can sit and chill. They should change out all the towels and also use softener to make them fluffy and soft. The a la carte lunch turned out to be far better than the buffet dinner.
A Bit Expensive for the facilities being offered.. Location(Surroundings) is really good. Its very close to Munnar Town. But the road is very narrow and in a bad Condition. Its very difficult even for a car to drive thru. The cottages are very old. Those who are taking the drivers along with, shall note that there's no rest rooms for them.. They have to stay inside the cars.
