Pros:

De inrichting/atmosfeer van het hotel (Jugendstil), het ontbijt, vriendelijkheid van het personeel.

Cons:

De parfum die in de kamer wordt gespoten is vreselijk sterk. Je kunt het zelfs proeven. Het was noodzakelijk de hele dag het raam open te laten staan.

Airco op kamer werkte niet waardoor het heel warm was. Hotel was zijn prijs niet waard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Pros:

We loved the character of the hotel. It was very comfortable and everything had excellent quality. The pool was an added bonus.

gute Lage, freundliches Personal, waren nur eine Nacht weil unser Flug gecancelt wurde.

Wir würden dieses Hotel aufgrund unserer Erfahrung nicht empfehlen.
Pros:

Die Innenstadt, Hafen und Botanische Gärten lassen sich gut zu Fuss erreichen. Verschiedene Restaurants in der Nähe.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer glich einer Abstellkammer mit Baustellenlärm und mit Blick in einen Hinterhof. Das Frühstück war mittelmässig. Instantkaffee aus dem Automaten ist sehr unbefriedigend. Keine Parkmöglichkeiten am Hotel.

Breakfast - good selection of savoury and sweet food / very comfortable beds / terrace pool that we used once

Cons:

We stayed at Talisman Hotel for 5 nights. Essentially it's a 3 star not a 4. The staff at the reception were not extremely friendly, did not help much with booking close restaurants and every time we were passing by the reception either they were busy doing ( ora pretending to do ) other things and there has never been any of the receptionists asking " how is your holiday so far", or "are you happy with your room" or even going out "have a good evening"... just "hello" when passing or good night when returning to the hotel. It is quite strange that all the 3-4 people at reception were behaving the same especially when on the island most of the residents are very kind and friendly ! Also in a 4 star hotel you expect to be able to use A.C. due the high humidity of the climate and the smell of old furniture in the room (it definitely needs a renovation )but we were told that the a.c. was on "hot air" and that was only controlled by the central system ! Almost every night at the hotel restaurant there were receptions of even 40-50 people having dinner and celebrating loudly until 11.30
