なんといっても池の向こうに沈む夕陽がきれいで、有名な寺院群もすぐ近くで便利なところでした。
設備が古く、掃除も。。⤵️
My room had a balcony facing the lake across the street from the hotel. It was simply a gorgeous view. Prashant Triwari who runs the hotel invited me for Darjeeling tea and conversation shortly after my arrival. He gave me a tour and shared his plans for expanding his organic garden. It was such a pleasure to spend time with him. He also helped me book the necessary guide for the temples of Khajuraho. I only planned to stay for 2 days and it should have been 4. Thank you so much, Prashant
If my stay could have been longer.
The very great hospitality! We had very good conversations with the owners. We enjoyed their support.
Exceptional location; 5 min walk from Khajuraho temple Western group entrance. Beautiful, lake facing views. Really close to restaurants and ATMs. Great value. Clean basic accommodations. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff, especially the owner and his son. Really nice stay!!
There was a minor problem with my bathroom sink, but when I brought it to the attention of the staff, the owner himself came and got it fixed immediately. I really liked their quick response and attention to guest’s concerns.
We would really have appreciated a breakfast, however small - but there was none whatsoever
Tremendous location. Just a few minutes walk from the main temple complex, and the main center in town. Also a great location for the recommended restaurant and cafe. Shopping is quite near too - all within easy walking distance.
The staff will do any thing reasonable asked of them and try hard to meet your needs. The breakfast is basic but done with care. Likewise the room and the facilities - all very basic. The key thing to remember is that this is a budget hotel and so one needs to temper one's expectations accordingly. Do not mistake this place for a 3 or 4 star hotel on the cheap.
Its right by the road side so there is some road noise particularly if you retire early.
Only plus point is the location which is also not the USP as everything in Khajuraho is pretty close.
Nothing at all worth liking - rooms were so dusty and unclean, half of the switches such as for AC and Geysers are outside of the room that they don’t tell you about, no proper check in, no consideration for requests made in advance. I think the hotel even lacked basic courtesy that you would give your guests even in a budget hotel.
Basic facility for stay. Location is good but no facility for even tea or coffee.
Excellent location. A lovely family-run guesthouse.
Staff are terrific. Location could not be better opposite lake and the entrance to the Wesrern temples.
It was all good
I like the receptiveness of staf and the location.
There was nothing
The view's where spectacular, the room was perfectly clean and comfortable, the bathroom was large and clean..but the best thing about hotel Lakeside is Prashant and Avinash the owners, father and son who make your staying there just unforgettable..thenk you both!!
Great location, Very helpful and friendly staff
Well, the staff was welcoming. But that is the only positive thing that we found.
The room was so small that there was no space to even move around. One side of the bed was pushed against the wall, so how does one get down? We had to literally squeeze past the bed into the bathroom, and it was made even more difficult by the slab jutting out from the wall near the bathroom door. I may be putting it badly, but the photo might give you an idea.
The room was not particularly clean and there were spider webs. The bedsheet and pillow covers showed distinct signs of wear and tear. The towels had long ago given up their absorbent capacity.
The bathroom was as constricted as the room. The hand spray (or the jet spray) sprayed all over the place except for its desired direction. One had to switch off the water supply from the inlet valve in the wall instead of from the jet spray itself!
The only staff is a doddery gentleman, who is willing enough but perhaps is not supported with the desired resources.
We left the hotel after one very uncomfortable night. Maybe a "lodge" might be a better word to describe the place. For the facilities it offers, or does not offer, it is highly overpriced.
Here I would like to mention that Booking.com is also at fault. Despite there being so many hotels in Khajuraho, it showed only very limited choices. Makemytrip and other online sites have many more options.
