Warm nutritious breakfast
We enjoyed warm and nutritious breakfast! It was amazing that they had yummy cinnamon rolls. It went along so good with warm coffee. Some staff are great and very friendly.
Booked 1 month ago with my friends. We have one room and they have one room i booked 2 rooms. When I checked in seems that rooms are chosen at the site at the time we checked in, even I booked the rooms 1 month ago. We could not have rooms next to each other. When we checked in and entered into room, there is someone listening to music so loud. We needed to listen to the music coming in from next room for the first few hours. It was my first stay at Holiday Inn however i don't feel like using Holiday again. I personally don't think it worts spending $500 for 2 rooms with that service/ hospitality.
When we entered into room, I saw water on the floor by the shower room... I saw black mold in the holes of sink.
(I don't want to be negative but I'm just being honest.)
The spacious suite with the pull-out sofa was perfect for our party of five. The pool was warm and inviting. The breakfast offered many delicious options. The location was perfect to get to Ottawa and Utica for hiking in both Starved Rock and Buffalo Rock State Parks. Our dog stayed and enjoyed his time too.
The suite was on the second floor rather than the first, but the elevator and stairs worked well.
Pillows were not comfortable at all. That’s my only complaint.
GM very accommodating and front desk, Becca was the sweetest.
Family members stated the facility was very nice and clean. They were staying over from the thanksgiving holiday.
Good location to where we need to go.
New, clean and well maintained
Clean room with plenty of storage spaces for all our stuff. Well set up room that looked nice and new. Loved the bedding, pillows and the breakfast was outstanding! We loved the bacon twists and especially the biscuits and gravy. My favorite and totally unexpected. Everything else they served was delicious too. Also loved the coffee dispenser since I use a grind and brew at home and it was great they had one too. I filled up my to go mug twice & even used the cold water option on my way out to fill my water cup. Totally satisfied on that front. So was my family.
Well, we hiked all day and were looking forward to a good soak in the hot tub but it wasn’t warm or very jetty. I had called ahead to make sure this was working because it meant a lot to my husband & I. Unfortunately, while it functioned, it was only about 80 degrees which is NOT a hot tub temp. I actually got cold sitting there after a bit. And the jets didn’t come out strong at all so no water massage either. My husband asked about it but they couldn’t help. We were very disappointed.
This is our best place to stay however we were disappointed this visit with the cleanliness when we first arrived and no one ever cleaned our room while we stayed. Breakfast service was a little disappointing also machines broken not much variety. Staff is always exceptional. Kudos.
