The room was very cleaned.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Hampton Inn in East Hartford. Before making our reservation, my husband called the hotel and spoke with the manager specifically about our emotional support animal. He was clearly told that we would not be charged the $75 pet fee, and we relied on that information when booking our stay.
When we arrived, the front desk associate was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of honoring what the manager had told us, she insisted on charging the $75 fee. We politely explained the conversation my husband had with the manager, but she showed no interest in helping or verifying the information.
What upset us the most was not only being charged a fee we were told would be waived, but also the poor customer service and lack of respect we received. If hotel staff provide information that guests rely on when making a reservation, the hotel should honor those commitments or at least make an effort to resolve the situation professionally.
We expected better communication and customer service from a Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling frustrated and misled. I hope management addresses the inconsistency in communication and provides additional customer service training to ensure future guests are treated with courtesy and respect.
The friendly check-in. The newness of it all. The hotel is over construction, and the look and smell of new carpet and paint helped to look past the construction sites 😀

Indoor pool was newly renovated with the rest of the hotel. Beautiful.
Staff was excellent. Hilton treats like royalty.Requested a microwave and was in the room by the time I went up.
Breakfast was a bit poor for a Hilton. Was a step above a comfort inn. Bathtub faucet knob was very loose. No biggie since hotel being renovated. Made front desk aware and they immediately told maintenance.
Close to the stadium, the staff, the breakfast and the cleanliness.
Really wish the shuttle could bring you and pick you up at the stadium or at least have a nearby drop off and pickup spot like the Dunkin Donuts on Silver Lane.
We ran out of hot water! There was only is 2 and a hour inbetween showers.

This is not my first time staying at this hotel, but this was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. The hotel is under construction, and guests are not properly warned about it beforehand.
There was constant drilling, hammering, and construction noise from the floors above and below — starting every single morning at 8 AM. Sleeping was impossible. The entire hotel smelled strongly of paint and renovation work. After one week, all of my clothes and belongings smelled like paint and construction dust.
The biggest issue was the Wi-Fi. There was practically no internet connection for the entire week. I work remotely and have multiple Zoom meetings and video calls every day, so it was impossible to work from the room. Between the terrible internet and nonstop construction noise, I couldn’t even attend meetings properly. I constantly had to go downstairs to the lobby to try to work, but it was noisy there as well.
Even using the elevators was difficult because construction workers were constantly going up and down with equipment.
The hotel absolutely should inform guests in advance that it is under renovation. A week without proper Wi-Fi in 2026 is simply ridiculous.
Never ever coming back.
Sub par breakfast for Hilton/Hampton, runny scrambled eggs, convenience store sweet goods, flimsy plates, crude cutlery, coffee was good!

Hampton NEEDS a more pleasant staff at this location. Security Guard at entrance is not a good look.
Check in was like being pulled over by state police. No friendly welcome, no direction to room, no facility layout.
Room was clean, but sparse.
Bed light did not work, television did not work, messaged desk for a service call in morning, No response.
Facility under construction, not mentioned at reservation, pounding on floor above till well after 5 pm .
Next day, stopped at desk asked about service call, terse response again, asked for contact with facility manager, told they are off till Tuesday, no manager on site!!
I asked for call on Tuesday, still waiting.
