Comfortable but disappointing

Nice quiet hotel with large suites and a good breakfast, close to lots of stores and restaurants.
Pros:

Although this hotel is a bit further north than I needed to be, it is quiet and clean. The suites are a great size and have everything needed for a few nights or longer. Breakfast is good with a nice variety. The dishwasher and full size fridge is great for people who don't want to eat out every meal.

Cons:

I stayed in two rooms (two consecutive weekends) and my only complaints are about the mattresses (flat, hard, and no cushion), the pillows (way too soft so they flattened out like a rock), and the couch (cushions sunk down below the front edge and, although I'm sure they get vacuumed, the couches are VERY dirty and need to be shampooed more often). Rather than only the ice maker in the room (which takes HOURS to make any ice) it would be nice if there was at least one or two ice machines in the hotel. Last thing- the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles are attached to the wall right at your shoulder. Would be better if these were moved to the other end of the shower/tub enclosure.

My first impression walking into the property should be at the front desk. The receptionist was not friendly at all. I spoke and she did not respond. I was told my card that I paid was declined for payment. I had to pay with my other card. I was there for a celebration and didn’t check tell later. My card that used was charged on February 17th. When I checked out. I asked the receptionist why was I charged twice. She proceeded to tell me it was the deposit. I told her that was not explained when I checked in. No apology of sorry about the confusion. Unfriendly in the morning also.

Overall my stay was great.
Pros:

Breakfast was very busy and it appears that there wasn't enough staff to keep everything stocked. But Breakfast was good.

Great for families except don't expect a pool
Pros:

Full breakfast was a highlight and the selection of food was fantastic. We had a 2 bedroom full kitchen and the space was very nice. Location was good.

Cons:

The pool was only open some days and only a portion of the day. On the days it was open, the room key didn't allow you to get in. They gave me another room key to get in and that didn't work to access the pool either. I gave up after that. Also, there was some sort of crud on our kitchen table that wouldn't come off and the office chair in the room didn't have a pad for arms. It's like they all probably needed repair so instead they just threw them away. The bed wasn't that comfy and I could feel every move my husband made. And the AC worked in the main living room but it got hot in the bedrooms if you closed the doors. All of this is sort of a nit for me except the pool.

You could use 1 or 2 more toasters. Having one toaster (one that does not work very well) when there a multiple people in line waiting to use it is not good service

It was a really nice residence. Stay hotel and I would definitely use residence Inn again.
Pros:

The room was a very nice size with nice amenities. The beds were comfortable. The only thing I would have appreciated more was if there was body lotion available breakfast was OK standard hotel breakfast fair but you did have a nice selection of things. I just wish that you would’ve had something more like fried or hash brown potatoes. Also, the fire pit was a nice touch.

I did not stay because the pool was out of order
Pros:

I love this property and location. Staff is always nice and attentive. I was just extremely disappointed that the pool was out of order. Relaxing in the poor was my sole of visiting the hotel.
