This is a great hotel property where quality is valued.
Pros:

This is not your average box Holiday Inn Express. It is a great building, nice high ceilings, wide hallways, good lighting which makes for a welcoming visit. The rooms, beds, and pillows comfortable for a nice sleep. The only drawback was the breakfast. It was not the normal Holiday Inn Express breakfast because someone dropped the ball and didn't order food, so we did not have their tasty cinnamon rolls, yogurt, cereal or oatmeal. I'm sure they will get that figured out. I understand that the hotel is under new ownership as of this month so hopefully they will keep up the high standards.

Very nice stay except for the very rude kitchen staff on our second day
Cons:

Ran out of eggs both days at breakfast and second day when asked about why there were still no eggs the kitchen staff was very rude to me. Everyone else who was a staff member was very pleasant and friendly. I guess she was having a bad day but she should not speak to a guest like that .We would have scored higher if not for that experience.

Well located hotel with friendly staff
Pros:

The front desk staff was excellent, always greeting us when we walked through the door, very friendly
Our room and common areas were clean
Rooms were decently updated

Cons:

Breakfast selection and execution was just ok. Breakfast staff seemed to have trouble keeping up with replenishing items (at one point there was a coffee line when it ran out, lasting several minutes) and cleaning tables between guests. However, it was a holiday weekend and the hotel seemed quite busy, so perhaps busier than normal.

The common areas (hallways, entry area, etc) felt a bit worn

No Ice machines, same breakfast no variety
Pros:

Folks were nice beds were clean. No Ice machines on the property yet ice buckets in the room? Breakfast is ok if you are there for a single day. We were here 4 nights and got tired of the same thing every day. No bananas and they recycle same oranges and green apples daily. We stayed here for breakfast and disappointed.

I understood it was being renovated and would try again once complete
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were just okay.

Cons:

The blinds in the room were torn down and had to be hand stuffed into casement to cover opening. The breakfast area didn't have anything. however, the staff person offered to run next door for us.

Great stay!
Pros:

Great location, staff was nice, clean suite (and huge!).

Cons:

Breakfast wasn’t great and most of the food is wrapped into plastic, no recycling cups or dishes… so disappointing in 2026. Parking was limited on the weekend - you pay $5 per day but spot isn’t guaranteed.

Nice stay and would definitely stay again
Pros:

Work on the food a little bit and it would be excellent. I would come back.
Pros:

Would like to have seen scrambled eggs rather than the veggie omelette and poorly put together cheese omelette. It did not look very appetizing.
The oatmeal was cold and should’ve been on a warmer. But I enjoy the bacon, grits, and the ambience.
