Don’t visit here. I called ahead of time and they told us it wouldn’t be a problem to check in early and made a note of it. Once my wife drove 4 hours and got there they said they couldn’t do it and they shouldn’t have said that. Poor management, poor service, and a rude attitude. Stay elsewhere. When we did finally check in the room was in poor shape.
Breakfast is not included and everything is very expensive, for example, a bottle of water $3.85, a slice of toast with avocado $11 and hot water for tea $7, multiple families complaining about not having breakfast.
Room was super out of date with dated TV’s, mini fridges, and microwaves. Cracks in tub and tile in the bathroom, room had a musty and mildew odor. Front desk attendant was rude when I asked if I could get a first floor room due to a member of my party with mobility issues and then seemed very bothered that I asked for a second room key when I only received one initially.
Stayed 1 night at the Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Trussville.
Room was not thoroughly cleaned prior to me checking in. Toenail clippings were visible on the side of the bed. Later saw a few strands of hair on the bathroom floor.
The following morning as I sat on the bed, a ladybug fell from the ceiling into the bed. I looked up and saw several ladybugs crawling along the ceiling!!
I quickly packed up my suitcase and left the room. I stopped at the front desk to share my concerns about cleanliness and the bugs. I was told that I should have mentioned the cleanliness issue to the evening staff and they would’ve moved me to a different room. I own that in that I did not feel like coming downstairs to have it addressed.
The hotel employee also stated that there is a ladybug issue in the entire state of Alabama and that homes and businesses are having the same problem. Just matter of fact with no empathy for my experience.
I will not return nor recommend this hotel to others.

This is one of the best places to stay in for Birmingham area. Trussville.. clean and fresh.. outstanding
The room needs some renovation. Tile floor in the bathroom cracked tub needs work and the carpet need to be checked and cleaned.
I would not recommend it to anyone else.
